For me it's the opposite. When I have dreams is when I'm the most well rested. However, I've noticed that I don't seem to start dreaming until after I've gotten plenty of sleep, so I'm guessing my dreams start when the most important parts of sleep are already over.

I find it mildly funny to see suggestions of Chihiro as trans. Chihiro's behavior isn't anything like a girl in a guy's body. If anything, I think him being a representation of the reverse would make more sense to me. He wants the courage to dress and act like a man, but lacks it.

With the exception of my main characters, pretty much all the characters I write are complete fabrications. I don't really feel like I know anyone well enough to base a character on them. I just sorta make it all up as I go, figuring out character traits as I write the characters.
