Submit a character for my upcoming reader-interactive story!

Feels weird to do this again, not gonna lie. So, I'm making a new story. The basic premise is a litRPG novel where people play a full-dive VR game called Project Terra: Alternate Earth. It's a class-less, open-world game that relies heavily on realism. Outside of the ability to magically...

I'm curious, what writing software do you (yes I mean you specially) use?

Just in case it hasn't been mentioned cuz I can't see it just yet, try Scrivener. It's the best, especially if you're making actual books/long-form stories with chapters. It has epic note capabilities, and even has a neat compiling feature so you can have a manuscript ready to go with little effort.

Need opinions on my first fully immersive system

Jobs? I might add some later, if I can find a natural way to tie them in. But no, I don't plan to add any classes. I want a "classless" kind of gameplay here. I will indeed fix the monster stats, as well as their drops and special notes. The Animals doc is one of those I haven't had the chance...

Need opinions on my first fully immersive system

You'll be able to tell by reading the document, but I do have a basic character sheet made up. No stat points per se, just a ranking system.

Need opinions on my first fully immersive system

You know, I remember you, not for your name, though you've commented on every other of my posts, but because of that dog face meme. As I said last time you posted it, I can't argue with that face. Sorry if that's strange, but the last time I came into these forums with a theory crafting-esque...

    So as a fellow author

    1. I got so tired of not being able to find reliable players for my D&D games, and the backlog of story ideas just got to be too much. I tried it on a whim, and got addicted. 2. Ah. Well, epic fantasy/high fantasy really just has so many options for storytelling. If you incorporate a human...

Need opinions on my first fully immersive system

It goes without saying that I've played around with systems before, with varying levels of success. My main problem in the past has been a lack of effort and forethought, which meant I either stopped caring about the system or lost interest in the story it was made for halfway through. So this...

Fixing Other People's Work (imma do it)

Do you... have any sort of qualifications to be judging other writers' works? Even that question is odd to ask, because based on your profile you haven't posted any stories. I mean no disrespect, this just comes off as rather rude to the hard work of the people who post entire novels on this...

    SmutHub: Real or Not?

A well-thought reply. How can I argue with that face xD That's very true, I apologize. Cute anime girls do work as well.

    SmutHub: Real or Not?

I'm gonna speak on this as an author, and someone who's been posting chapters to this site for nearly 3 years now. Yes, it's a huge problem. It's not the frequency, because as much as I hate to admit it, just planning out the first few chapters of a story takes brain cells and willpower. Most...

A story similar to Ready Player One

something I can read, yes. Sorry, thought that was implied by posting here xD

A story similar to Ready Player One

Really, as close to that theme as possible would be great, thanks.

I'm jumping on the bandwagon, and I need help...

Now that's a very positive message. Thank you for that! Unfortunately, I have this addiction to typing my stories and spreading their reach. Free stories for everyone!

I'm jumping on the bandwagon, and I need help...

Wow that took quite a while to read. Thanks for all the input and info. Not much to glean of use there, but still, it helped me understand the issue at hand. Good tip about the starting line of Tome of the Body. I can see how that would be misunderstood by readers. Unfortunately, I won't be...

Ah, that old debacle. Been a while since that was last mentioned xD.

This is one of the decisions I've made. Not sure what it says about me, but if more people get to witness my stories, then all the better :)

That bit about a hated villain is very interest. Made me think of how happy I was to see Umbridge taken down. Will definitely keep this in mind, thank you so much! Ah, this is helpful info. I very much enjoy the progression side of D&D as well. I guess I just never thought of it that way, in...

So sorry, I thought it would link to those automatically thru my profile. I know now that this is not the case. https://www.scribblehub.com/profile/31130/c_p_tuck/ It's not so much jealousy as it is I'm just trying to make a living at this, and spread my stories further. But god I wish I could...

I just typed my millionth word!

Err, super late, as I suck at replying and paying attention to the forums. I just finished my 8th, and close to finishing my 9th.

I'm jumping on the bandwagon, and I need help...

Okay, so I feel the first thing I should say in advance is I'm sorry. I suffer from sociopathy, and I have no filter nor sense of empathy. If I offend anyone with this post, please know that I literally never mean to. I just need help. I've written over a million words, nearly every word of...
