Writing [Tutorial] The Secret to Proper Paragraphing and Dialogue

Oh, I definitely have a problem with talking heads. I'm just too lazy to fix it. :s_tongue: I'm not creative enough to think up all sorts of ways I can write my characters' body language. I'll get stuck thinking about it. Then again, I'm writing a Japanese-style light novel where that kind of...

What kind of story do you want to read?

My preferred ecchi is more softcore too like upskirts and boob grabs, but I do have lewder stuff in my novel. Why? Because it's fun to write. Not because of the sexual element, but because of how the characters react to it. That, and bed talks are just really romantic in my book. :s_tongue:

    Why do you write?

I share this sentiment. I wanted to write my own take on an ecchi isekai, particularly with the "second chance" theme like Mushoku Tensei.

Where do you guys usually discuss about the novels you read?

You don't comment on the story itself?

Any Personal Quirks/Kinks Made It to Your Writing?

My waifus on the other hand have varying boob sizes, from literal washboard to gigantic bazookas. Variety is fun after all. :s_tongue:

Any Personal Quirks/Kinks Made It to Your Writing?

Eh, I disliked them too. To me, they're the same as the other hot-blooded MCs. Not my taste. Yeah, that means that character has to see it. Just like I said.

Any Personal Quirks/Kinks Made It to Your Writing?

Speaking of that, it's really hard to translate that into writing. Like the meme of how anime camera angles are perverted. How do you translate that to words? A pantyshot is only a pantyshot if another character sees them.

You're my kind of writer. (y)

Any Personal Quirks/Kinks Made It to Your Writing?

Ah, I can agree to that. My pantyshots are more about the girl not realizing she's giving the delightful view to the MC though. :s_tongue:

Subtle? What do you mean exactly? :s_wink:

Pantyshot. Pantyshots everywhere. And general ecchi tropes as well. :s_tongue:

    My 10+ Rule of Writing

I'll stop writing if I obey this rule. :s_tongue:

I love Mary Sue/Gary Stu protagonist!

Yeah, I've heard that sentiment from people criticizing my story.

Anyone else gets discouraged by your average views per chapter dropping?

Yeah, I post my work on other sites as well. I don't even know how I would advertise myself.

    Copy and Paste it seems.

This, basically. Normal is overrated. :s_tongue:

    Copy and Paste it seems.

Hey, my story is a guy reincarnated into a normal human. :s_tongue: And my cover doesn't have a lewd anime girl on it. :s_tongue:

Anyone else gets discouraged by your average views per chapter dropping?

Yeah, that's why I've been adding foreshadowings on the early chapters. I'm not sure if this is a good idea. It reduces the comments you got on the story itself, no? Not to mention you have to police it.

Anyone else gets discouraged by your average views per chapter dropping?

That only works if you have short chapters. That's why a lot of WN have really short chapters. So they get bumped into the front page often. I wish I have a lot of money like you. That's why I started a Patreon. To fund my character design commissions.

Anyone else gets discouraged by your average views per chapter dropping?

On the other hand, some of my readers had told me they preferred longer chapters. So I hovered around 3-4k these days.

Anyone else gets discouraged by your average views per chapter dropping?

I am, kinda, since I have a Patreon running. Every chapter of mine has more than 2.5k words.
