Playing Shadow Hearts Covenant. Right off the bat, the system is actually really good. However, the story is definitely a sharp downgrade from the first game. The first game built up each area to a chilling boss fight. The tone, the horror, it was a really good. The second game so far? Just...

I swear. The Shadow Hearts fisherman side of the story is still one of the most creepiest thing lol. Especially with the old woman retelling the story of Li Li’s tragedy.

I watched parts of it, and read up on it. Probably more than I should have. No way I am going to put money into that. Unfortunately, it made a billion. Which means, expect even more of that stuff.

I know they tried to do a portal gun thing, but it makes no sense at all. Hawaii was literally the best place for the degree. Plus, there is online classes.

The ending make no sense at all. Hawaii is one of the best places for marine biology. Plus, natives get benefits for getting their degree there. It didn’t make any sense, and defeated the whole point of the original. That family means no one is left behind.

No, transformations aren't supposed to hurt! =P

True, they aren't even doing it properly as well. JRPG's are the story genre. They were the genre to actually introduce story telling into it, while having gameplay. So, essentially the genre cannot be engaged with without expecting this. However, other genres do not have this. Yet, a lot of...

No, transformations aren't supposed to hurt! =P

This was back on the PS2. So before 2008. After that point, at least in the AAA space. They really toned it back. Some games still hold up amazingly well today with their graphics and style, such as FFX, Dark Cloud 2, etc.

They really need to update Shadow Hearts. Game is still amazing. It is like seriously, this game would be a gold mine if they bring it back. And ya know, don’t sanitize it. Have it in its raw bloody, horrific flaw, without tamed language.

The first time they use is in Chapter 1, then it s 1.5, 2.5, 3.5, 4.5, and now 5.5. With 6.5 being the last instance until the finale. In short, it is meant to be used in Guardian battles alone.

When I write, I create multiple scenarios to work with. So if I forget something, it isn’t an issue to slot it in elsewhere, or write something around it.

Consistently with the theme, it doesn’t break anything. It was just a slight thing that I intended to show once more around Chapter 5.5. I would have locked it to the finale afterwards either way.

Those powers are relied on a lot more than their own, since it is a lot more strenuous to use their own due to them being weakened from a 1000 year seal. The build up leads into Chapter 5, where it continuously builds towards their complete awakening in the finale.

Don’t worry about that. The whole story is a natural growth. Everything was building up to the climax either way. I have always done this. You’re meant to get only one look at the main unchained. 8 Guardian battles, each battle they steal their power.

Well, while editing. I realized something. I sorta forgot about one particular ability of the lead. The point of it was supposed to be a very small look into the main’s power. Yeah, when I remembered. I thought of a very quick fix. It appears in the finale, and evolves in the finale. :meowsip...

No, transformations aren't supposed to hurt! =P

This game uses a Sanity gauge. The protagonist uses an enormous amount for his Devil Fusion. If it reaches 0, and it decreases per turn, he will go berserk. You have to manage other characters sanity gauge as well. Later half of the game, to unlock his strongest abilities. You have to access...
