keniona talked about jealousy received for being able to do more than others. You too mentioned the suspicion that readers felt shown up by someone struggling less with something than they would have. This only tangentially relates to the "jack of all trades" part for me, i.e. the pursuit of...
Isn't that, subjectively, exactly the lack of realistic struggle?
Another part I'd consider essential is whether the lack of specialization has relevant drawbacks. Even if an approach is provably superior to others in real life, a narrative built around confirming that belief tends not to be...
Protagonists that like to point out others' personal or moral shortcomings in their inner monologue. Now technically this only applies if they're supposed to have moral highground themselves, but I've yet to see that behavior in works without the latter.
So many authors don't seem to...
The better future for our children here is even less of them.
You tell me with a straight face that toddler language is a meaningful addition to textual communication between adults.
The maybe clearer exec version:
New stories don't always pop up on the first spot of the latest series tab, even if their chapters are newer than entries to their left.
I've noticed this a few times myself, suddenly finding a new cover in between stories sometimes a day older. With how many...

The older woman stood...
I think there's a large part lockdown rebound. People who suddenly had a lot of time on their hands to spend online 4 years ago. Now that things have largely become as before I imagine a decent part of those will simply drift out of the scene again.
My peeve are the "forgot the title", "can't find" etc. textual titles in addition to the tag.
If you can't remember more there's little you can do besides hope you get lucky with little information, but is it really too much to ask for the central point(s) upfront?
