Not as bad as I thought?

I made a forum post on there about the heavy Eurocentrism in fantasy and how exclusionary it is to POCs. I got the usual "oh it's not that deep! DEI!" thing then the mods instantly deleted it lmao

RR is prettyyy gatekeepy, and lowkey racist so I agree w that post

    Sports, I Love Reality

I don't go on RR like that. Maybe I will now.

Disagree. Most sports stories about the underdog. The protagonist is penned in the story to lose. Rocky wasn't the best ever. He lost his big match. Even if they do win, like I said it's not easily earned, the exact opposite of a power fantasy.

    Writing Does NOT Equal Endorsment!

TW: mentions of trigger warnings you seemed very upset at the mention of warnings. Maybe I’ll add a warning to make sure you’re ok :) also this isn’t a new thing. Parental Adversary is a thing, and I’ve been hearing “Viewer’s discretion is advised” since I was a child. What I assume is some...

    Sports, I Love Reality

I love sports. I love this reality in general. There’s so much story to tell with being the best. I don’t know why, but fantasy never appealed to me. I’m not telling you my most important reason but another big one is the power fantasy. I don’t like it. No hate if you do! But the inherent...

    Writing Does NOT Equal Endorsment!

I just gambled with shade of gray. The protagonist is a violent vigilante who guts and brutalizes criminals. How you feel about this, like I said, depends on your feeling of crime and punishment. It isn’t a situation where it’s clearly bad or clearly good. Some people do support vigilante justice

You have the privilege of not having trauma with certain things. Good for you. I don't have a peanut allegory. I don't get annoyed seeing food labels warning you that the product has peanuts.

    Do You Like the People?

In particular, I was wondering about if you like my characters. More than Jackie. All the colorful cast, or just one. If so or not, why? https://www.scribblehub.com/series/2146580/ultraviolence/

Need help regarding dark and sensitive themes.

To actually give you feedback, I enjoyed the prologue. It feels heavy. Every word had weight and its purpose for existing. For any dark topic the MOST important thing is empathy. You must understand and feel the victim's pain. Do your research looking into history, read the texts of slaves who...

Not as bad as I thought?

I love this site I love the retro vibe of the sexist remarks They are just mean. Idk, I don't write LitRPG, I lowkey hate fantasy, but I hated Honeyfeed more and forgot this site existed, so I bore the random fetish accusations when I was writing AKM. Heyyyyy.....

    Suicide in Fiction

The problem is two fold. For Isakai, ending your life because you’re a loser or whatever is rewarded with a better life beyond. It puts a bad taste in my mouth. You expect to root for this pervert? On the other hand, most teenie bopper novels have a problem with the characters being...

    Writing Does NOT Equal Endorsment!

Well let’s relax lmao. Trigger warnings are important, cuz I don’t want anyone who’s sensitive to SA go into my story and see it and be hurt by it. I have TWs in UV. The problem is that one enjoys the topics presented simply because they wrote it. I’m just discussing the subjectivity of justice...

    Writing Does NOT Equal Endorsment!

The first like said “I am expert in violent fantasies and I understand not all of them can be cool.” So I think they were saying that and the other thing at the same time. also, my violence is different than the violence of a fantasy novel. Ultraviolence takes place in 2010s New York. You could...

    Writing Does NOT Equal Endorsment!

I think only because it’s the second time it’s happened across two different stories is what’s annoying me. But I won’t dwell on it. The right people are liking it. It’s just a strange review lmao. They didn’t read far, most of the problems they had was answered already or would be answered...

    Writing Does NOT Equal Endorsment!

It's one thing to interpret my work, it's another to be wrong. Like outright. And saying my work is just a violent fantasy is literally wrong.

    Writing Does NOT Equal Endorsment!

I do, but now my rating is low on that hellsite, and it's annoying. they only read 13 chapters and assumed that much outta me, and now my place on the site sinks because of it They do that alot in RR. it's a very common tactic I heard because for some reason they don't have a gatekeep in place...
