Seen it happen and received well. There is always that small bit of doubt of paying to support something that one is not interested in. Splitting books into their own patreons makes sure that you don't loose one or two each month.

I think the main reason it doesn't feel relevant is the lack of damage/attack numbers and authors not giving enemy health bars. I have only seen a handful of litrpg's that have an enemy's health stat show during an analysis scan. Even then, without a reference on how much anything hurts or can...

The most numbery numbers book still can't shake the suspension of disbelief. The numbers don't matter, ultimately. The average and even dedicated readers won't bother to check the authors math at the end of the day. So, write the strenght as how strong you want it to be.
