The Emperor's Return: The Rising Of Rudravaan

I didn't go to the bathroom because I had to pee, I went because my bladder was uncomfortably full. I suggest you learn the language you're trying to write in before posting anything on the internet.

Names some RTS games you love / like

I've wanted to get into RTSs for a while, but they're so complicated that I haven't been able to convince myself to dedicate the time and effort it would take to learn and get good at them. Also, my computer can't handle games, so I'd be limited to playing them on console. That said, I did play...

    What did you learn today?

I learned that it's impossible to write a dramatic, heartwrenching scene while the janitor is singing Abba songs completely out of tune and at the top of her voice from twenty feet away.

    Duolingo

I'm still only on the first set of lessons, but it did stop to explain that "desu" means "it is" and that in Japanese you put it at the end of the sentence and not the beginning. So "It is rice" would be "Gohan desu."

    Duolingo

I decided to try using Duolingo to learn Japanese today. I just finished using up my 25 free energy points, and I'm surprised by how intuitive the whole thing feels. No idea if I'm actually going to commit to this or not, but at least I know how to order rice, sushi, green tea, and water if I...

Ideal length for the first book in a new series?

So could the first Star Wars movie. Vader is still alive and the Emperor hasn't even been introduced, but blowing up the Death Star and leaving the story open ended about what happens next could have served as a perfectly satisfying standalone film.

Ideal length for the first book in a new series?

On a scale of 1 to 10, how many toys can I expect the average litrpg reader to throw out of the pram if I try to pass off the first half of a book as a complete book in and of itself? That came out kind of weird, so think of it like this: imagine if the first Star Wars movie ended right as Luke...

Ideal length for the first book in a new series?

Eventually, hopefully. I'm going to go the usual route of uploading for free with a Patreon account, but I hope my audience will grow big enough that I can transition to KU and print.

Ideal length for the first book in a new series?

I wouldn't mind turning it into two books, but I don't really have a spot where I could split the book and still have a whole book's worth of story.

Ideal length for the first book in a new series?

I'm releasing XNPC on February 1st, so get hyped. But I was looking around at some reviews for popular litrpgs, and one thing I saw more than once was "It's too long for the first book in the series." XNPC is currently 195,972 words long (roughly 783 pages) and I'm still adding to it. So, two...

    It's been awhile...

The death of a king. The birth of a god. The fall of a city. The rise of a nation. The eating of expired sour cream. The having of painful diarrhea.

    Why all at once?

I'm just sad the mods locked the Camelot thread before I could make my obligatory "Let's not go to Camelot, it's a silly place" joke :(

    Why all at once?

I guess that'd explain why at least one of them said they were going to stop posting because they were going back to school after, like, a week.

    Why all at once?

It seems like over the past couple weeks Scribble Hub's been getting a lot of new users advertising stories they've written when they can barely speak English. Is it just a coincidence that so many of them are trying to join at the same time, or is this some kind of coordinated bot invasion? Or...

? New Fantasy Novel – I Will Never Let Her Suffer Again

I just find it weird that he has access to an AI that will do that for him, but he only uses it for his story. Why not run his forum posts through it? If I were trying to advertise my book to people who didn't speak my native language, the first thing I'd do is make sure I'm not speaking gibberish.

? New Fantasy Novel – I Will Never Let Her Suffer Again

Reading what Wamba2k just shared only makes me even more suspicious. The way you write in the forums makes me feel like I'm having a stroke, but your story is extremely generic, but at least legible. What's with the insane drop in quality? Either the story was written by somebody/something...
