I know this song is absolute dogshit, but I just can't stop listening to it. It's terrible in a way that's almost enchanting.
The governor of the region I went to college in recently said he's gonna send problem children to military barracks to discipline them.

Then he went on to say he wants to do the same with high-achieving students, so they can build character as well.

I can only imagine the wacky anime social hierarchy bullshit that'll come from all this.
I swear I used to be immune to the stimulating effects of coffee, but now it's like caffeine releases wicked djinns of sleep deprivation into my bloodstream. ?? نَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ ذَلِكَ
Me deciding if I want to spend the day agonizing over a terrible but realistic future or getting carried away fantasizing about a wonderful future that likely won't come to pass:

I really gotta actually read or watch Solanin so I can stop being a poser, but this song is just so good. It makes me look back on all the things I've done wrong, except I don't get to repackage those regrets in a poignant alternative rock song with lyrics by Inio Asano.
Putting all of my non-vital organs on the Pacers for game 2 tomorrow ???

The only good Canada has done for the world: the 2019 Toronto Raptors, maple syrup, and Rush.

This is their best track. It's energetic, catchy, and also just the right amount of prog dorkiness. It might not be as technically mind-blowing as YYZ, but Spirit of Radio really captures the spirit of Rush: 3 talented dudes who really like Ayn Rand.

    Almost forgot about today's recommendation.

R.I.P Neil Peart you would've hated what became of the Raptors after Kawhi left, assuming you liked basketball.
Every once in a while, I gotta hit the

when someone tells me about the ills of modern society, but it actually sounds pretty nice.
Read the first couple chapters of a romance manga about a guy with insomnia getting cured by sleeping (literally just sleeping) with an underclassman girl who just... is interested in him, for some reason, I guess.

It's later revealed the reason for his insomnia is that in his freshman year he asked out a girl he liked (who he's never spoken to) on a date and was rejected. And he's been traumatized ever since.

Reminds me of another manga about a guy who doesn't trust women because in highschool, a girl confessed to him and later revealed it was just a dare.

But it's later revealed she overheard him talking to his friends about how she's totally not compatible with him and he wants to focus on his studies, which was just to cover up his embarrassment. As a result, she made up the dare thing to save herself from the shame.

For a moment, I thought this was Hookup Hiccups manga's plot, but that story went a bit differently.

I can think of three different mangas where the main couple starts going out because of a dare. And, each time, the girl is always a gyaru. :meowsip:

It was a gyaru in this manga too :sweating_profusely:
I always thought I was a jaded cynic who couldn't care less about the world burning around him... but... but it turns out

    I do care ?
This past year or two, I've been casually building up my spice tolerance, and now I actively seek spicy food.

This is the most I've identified with my own Southeast Asian heritage.

    I feel truly Indonesian now.

It's time to drink cheap dogshit coffee and play chess in the street while catcalling every woman who passes by.

This song sounds like going to a gay club with a concussion.

    Happy pride.

Why would I want to experience that?

So you wouldn't have to experience it in real life :blob_hmm:

    Addendum to Rule #???

I don't know what kind of propaganda I'm being fed by reading marine ecology articles.

And no, the correct word is not plagiarized. I mean obtaining access to scientific literature through bypassing a paywall, which is piracy.

Knowledge should be free and accessible to all, or else we'll be back to serfs and aristocrats.

Is what I would say if pirating scientific literature wasn't a heinous offense and a crime against humanity. Come on guys, don't do it. Think about all the money you could've spent by not going on Scihub.
    Rule #???

It isn't okay to pirate scientific or academic literature, guys. Come on, guys, don't do that. It's among the most morally repugnant of acts, comparable to marijuana possession, shoplifting baby formula, and leaking classified government documents.

Think about the poor academic businessmen :blob_teary:

Please pay hundreds of bucks for a textbook and get multiple 40 dollar a month subscriptions to scientific journals. Please guys, don't pirate.

If I were king, I'd have science pirates in a chain gang. How dare they take crumbs away from the trillion dollar education industry?!!!

    I had the dream again.
I'm having lunch at this restaurant and they're playing Mr. Tambourine Man.

I finally got to experience that loud ass harmonica firsthand.
