Boruto is non-canon.
Why ?
Naruto biggest wish is to have people that like him for who he is. ESPECIALLY to get a family (orphan).

Hence it is not logical he cares more about the "hokage" title than his family.

Its like : destroy sect to save wife -> MC kill wife to destroy sect.
