How much would your characters hate you?

Not going to make a poll for this, just want to know how much your characters would hate you for the things you've put them through.

It doesn't even have to be that they hate you, it could be anywhere from you're chill with each other, to they give you a headstart before they start hunting you down.

For me, as of right now, he'd be pretty pissed, but I think we could get along. Now if it is the future, unwritten version... lets just say the only thing that would keep me alive is the fact that they're not evil, and thankfully wouldn't have any intention of being evil.

Erich and Gil would both be pretty chill about it. I didn’t put them through too much that they objectively can get upset about. Gil would be a little bit more salty because his power fantasy story is more matter and has a lot more existential angst but he probably still get over it pretty easily. Especially since he is on some level already aware that he is a fictional character.

Curtis would have a bit more anger at me because he’s had to put up with a whole lot more actual pain and suffering as part of the storyline, but he’s also a sufficiently levelheaded guy that unless he believed that I was aware that he was a real guy, he would probably be willing to forgive me.

Of course this is just my three main characters for stories that have gone on for any length of time. If minor characters are allowed to show up, then I’m going to immediately go into hiding on the off chance that Nendra is one of the people that showed up.

If she doesn’t have access to her magic, then she is going to try to rip my eyes out with her bare hands for giving her the magical neurodivergences she has to struggle with. If she does have access to her magic, she’s going to magically puppeteer the bodies of everybody that I know and force them to beat me to death while fully aware of their own actions.

My current MC would be my best friend, until she decides I'm a problem and tries to kill/eat me.

I think she'd be interested more than anything, in knowing that she's 50% based off of me.
We'd thus have a lot in common and could understand each other quite easily.

I gave bro daddy issues, mommy issues, SA experience, terminal illness. What do I expect lmao

Themis would porbably pick me up and choke me out. Jokes on her, I'm into that shit

Most of them would be annoyed with the pacing - either too fast, too slow or "why the heck have you focused on those other stories and not THIS one you loser?" stuff.

Kurai (otherworldly yet squishy lady) is too much of a softie. She would probably try to adopt me if anything, along with talking things out.

Robin (maid boy slave) would be the exact opposite. I'd be lucky to piss him off so he just kills me instead of Getting Creative for all the things he's gone through.

Irene (4'9" 30 yr old doctor) might kill me or might just ignore I exist. The latter might actually hurt worse coming from her.

Ellie would tear my head off since i had Gold Sentinel kill her mom
Bonnie would hunt me down for giving her and Lavender an abusive father and making them werewolves.

I write a very cozy aesthetic these days, so my characters probably don't hate me much, but they probably wish I'd stop slowing them down. In prior lives, I killed off some key family members so the protagonist was probably very cross with me over that.

edward would be upset maybe a little punch happy but otherwise chill

One of my characters would probably just want to confront me and have some long conversations over what I've put them through, all while wrestling with the fact that I'm even standing in front of them.

The rest of the cast is definitely gonna kill me though...

My characters tend towards the stoic, so even the one which had a genuinely bad time of it probably wouldn't be too angry with me. Of course, that one would probably judge the shit out of me too, lol, poor guy.

The male and female lead of my in-progress story haven't yet finished their character arcs (even in the outline), so I suppose they'd be pretty cross with me. Well, the space pirate would probably always be cross with me, even after things work out for her.

Do they know I've written them? Then they probably wouldn't be big fans. Most of their lives are pretty miserable...

It's basically an insider on my Slime Girl ever finds a way towards me, then I'm dead.

My characters have no idea who or what caused the Remaking, so finding out they were in a book with an author would pretty much answer that question. And since the Remaking was more or less the end of the world...

Probably a decent amount. While there are definitely a few similarities, but I'd say our world views are very different.

Most of them.

If it's the MC, he'll probably beat sense into me for annoying him through other characters.

If it's Hei'an who got his City reduced to nothing, he'll sure kill me on sight.

If it's Lord Smoke who got his castle destroyed by lightning, he would have wanted me dead, except that he's dead. I didn't even leave bro any chance of revenge.

Felix - Farmhand, Introvert, Sincere, Naive, Protective, and is good at reading people
We would either keep to ourselves or be really close friends depending on whether we share the same social group or not.

KuliKuli - Cat Girl, Curious, Nosy, Extrovert, Cheerful, Optimistic, Confrontational, Loving
Definitely be great friends, but she would have to learn boundaries ASAP! She's very Touchy Feely cx

Norowa Reta - Warrior, Strict, No-nonsense, Intimidating, Territorial, Competitive, and Insightful
She would not look my way except to scoff and keep walking but if she did like me, I'd be safe under her protection yet a bit overwhelmed because of her being territorial.

Janette - Analytical, Skeptic, Smart, Worrysome, Caring.
We would be good friends, but she would drive me crazy pointing at what I should do to get what I want, or sometimes stress me out when she's worried about her own problems.

I think the closest one who would hate me is Norowa Reta, and I wrote her with the term Tsundare in mind
