  • While Azure Night likely wraps up the stories here, it does not mean I am not thinking about the future of what may be posted next on this site.

For now though, the bulk of the series which is on Royal Road is exploring further into something that.

    1. I never thought about much at the time.

    2. Isn’t that relevant in terms of the main story.

What this explores a bit more, it branches into the reincarnation cycle more. As it gets into the lead’s past incarnation.

Which ends up creating the prophecy of one who will come and bring ruin. And this version of them, is insanely stronger than the current one.

Needless to say, it is a story on how they reawaken to this. Their fallen state. :blob_salute:

I expect it to be around 20k words worth. And tragic. :blob_popcorn:
Rewatching Yu-gi-oh GX(heard it is getting a remastered version). The main issue is really the first half dragging on and on.

Second half is where it gets good, the Supreme King storyline was extremely good.

Then the last season was extremely good. Still, last season? Judai turns into a meta player, dude OTK’s without mercenary. ?

And when he doesn’t, he wraps it up by I think turn 4.

Now that I think I am better, hopefully there isn’t a round three to the sickness. I randomly started thinking of something.

Happens all the time when I am sick, in the process of recovery, and when I get better.

Anyway, I started thinking about something that I didn’t think about in a while. And that is, about a reader who missed the clearest sign at foreshadowing there could be.

It happened in Book 1, Chapter 3. I remember I looked at the scene, scratched my head. Then later concluded, I can’t possibly make this more clear.

Then went on to drink some juice. :blobsip:

Well, if you’re wondering. In Chapter 3, right before the main would be struck down. The antagonistic figure triggered a glimpse of their true nature. Just a glimpse.

This leads to some connection to Chapter 4, and ultimately. The temporary awakening in Chapter 5, where you see them unshackled. Their true nature for a small bit, before they willfully sealed away their own memories.

I figured that revelation needed a bit extra, hence why I crafted a whole extra scene with the clearest foreshadowing I could do.

Either way, after their memories are resealed. That’s really when the process to their reawakening truly begins. The temporary awakening was you can say, the end of the first arc. :blobsip:
Today the conclusion to Azure Night, Epilogue: Empress of the Night. Was posted. This one is actually a call back to the conclusion in Chapter 1.

Next up is the second epilogue. Probably wondering why there are two. The first happens, because everything didn’t end all well and good.

You can call the Finale the normal end, and epilogue the True End. ?
Ya know, I’m surprised no one has voiced themselves yet. SH is a bit strang, people contact me after the stories are done.

This time, you clearly know from the second half of the book. Isa has accepted there is likely no Happy End for her.

However, the depths of her devotion only becomes stronger. As now you see the contract getting stronger and stronger.

And the story hammers in the tragedy. Usually peeps

Peeps get rile up. I mean my series finale had the weirdest path to the largest growth I experienced. ?
Fun thing, the lead of the series, Cyra. And the protagonist of Azure Night have a similar ability but does not function as the same.

Isa now, their own can be activated in response to an attack that should kill them. And is held out for an execution level ability.
    Valmond
    Valmond
Now this grants them critical condition if it is a power that cannot be survived. And this condition is necessary to chain into their strongest ability.

However, because under these circumstances it would be over exerting the their contract it actually has a chance to kill them upon the conclusion.
    :blobsip:

Critical condition though can be achieved in two ways.

    1. Get the crap beaten out of you.

    2. An execution level ability that is powerful enough to normally kill. :blob_evil_two:

Though, critical condition acts similarly to the main. Take another hit, and you’re dead.
You know, sometimes I question myself on tags. Azure Night for instance, the Rebellion goes into motion as in you start seeing it happening from the second half.

The main doesn’t get their Transformation until midway into Chapter 9, just before the finale. At times I question if I should have it on, but it is in there.

Which has me imagining readers just waiting, waiting, and waiting. Questioning if it is a lie, raging, blaming dragons. Eating Local Beef, and before they grind the next Local Beef, they get to what they were looking for. :blob_evil_two:

You know folks, some of the hardest games has this one requirement. If the protagonist is defeated, you lose. They often balance it in a certain way, where the protagonist does have the capability themselves, but also makes it a very cautious thing.

Then there are games with a hidden lose condition after all of that.
    Valmond
    Valmond
Then there is Knights in the Nightmare. While the character is only available for limited stages, mainly because they are damn broken.

All they have is 7.77 VIT that cannot be recovered per battle.

If that falls to 0, you instantly lose.
    Valmond
    Valmond
In many games, if the protagonist dies or whatever. You can still continue if there are other characters. However, in these sort of games. If the protagonist is the one to fall, you instantly lose.

Folks, there comes a time. When you gotta embrace reality. And by that I mean, Val’s readers are likely part of ChatGPT. Both have one solid thing in common.

Apparently both thinks Val’s characters are heroic and seeking redemption and whatnot, when it is the exact opposite. :blob_hmm:

Though, similarly to the original Iconoclast. The lead of the series. The second Iconoclast created new possibilities, and chose to become the enemy.
    Valmond
    Valmond
Similarly to the original. The oppressor was viewed as the savior, and the savior was viewed as the oppressor.

Though, neither protagonist tried to save the world or anything like that. This was just sorta tacked on. The ripple waves of their actions.

In short, you can argue something good came out of their choice. Though, it was something that happened in pursuit of their desires.
    Valmond

They know their actions are irredeemable, and carry their sins with them while moving ahead to a potentially better tomorrow.
Now I really wanna do the 100 Iguanas vs ChatGPT. There is one iguana, who is actually smart enough to stand back, and study how the other iguanas get killed.

So, when he is the 100th one. Apparently he is smart enough to observe, but not smart enough to prepare. However, the one thing he chose to

"The heart truly is a fragile thing. Someone like you, who was just a blade, even you can be made to bend to irrationality. I've given up much, I've done things I loathe, yet here you come selfishly trying to take away our hope." Shaking his head in refusal.

"That's right, hate me. Blame everything on me, let me bear the weight of sins." Her soft voice, floating on her side from afar.

"A single flower that brought life into my hollow world. Even if the chance is minuscule at best, it is worth pursuing. Damn me if you must, scorn my name to the ends of eternity. I will accept it all, and give her a world she can live in, a world she can be happy in." Isa folding her arms, her gentle vision to him.
