Male protagonists or female protagonists: which one do you prefer?

I prefer Male MC cause I grew up with action story like Artemis Fowl, Alex Rider, Harry Potter etc. So far, very few female MC gives off that same vibe like male MC do, as they mostly cater to romance.

    Need Help with advice, anyone?

If it's meant to be curiosity as a typical kid, then mentioned that in the sentence, eg, where despite other curious/royal kid, she the MC has no such interest in kingdoms, crowns because fate XXX to her something< plotline/highlights of the story to get people to read the novel to find out why...

Need advice on my new story

The synopsis was interesting. I was initially curious and wanted to read the story to find out why he is emotionless, only to be told the answer right in the end of the synopsis itself. He is an experiment. Then, the story in chapter 1 immediately flow his first day at school? with his guardian...

    Need Help with advice, anyone?

The synopsis is kind of confusing. I had no idea what sort story you're writing about. Like what's the plotline here? I simply don't get it from the start. Also, she is supposedly "Careless, curious, and untamed, but also had no interest in kingdoms, crowns, or fate." So, what is she meant to be...

Writing Envy Lesson: Write to Entertain

Same, I wrote for myself. Basically, I want to entertain myself so I will write all the moral values I want into the story. While having readers are nice, I do often find the pressure to cater to reader a bit more off putting rather than encouraging sometimes.

My story has no particular end-goal, I just wish to write/draw pure chaos. Do you mind that as a reader?

Illogical plot scene often turns me off from reading the story, especially when it's supposed to have huge potential yet the scenes are all jumping around causing confusion. When that happens, I'll just stop reading and remove it from my reading list immediately.

Do You read a chapter a day, or do you like a 'page turner' and prefer a completed story?

Same here. I'll only read one chapter per one chapter when only because the story is so good but the update was so slow that I had no choice but to only each one chapter each time it's uploaded. For the others slower updates story, I'll wait for the chapters to pile up first before reading...

What's your reason for not reviewing a novel?

Mostly I'll review if the novel is exceptionally good or extremely terrible. I dislike the idea of swap reviews, cause I want the reviews to be authentic. It's totally fine if people don't review my novels, cause I just wrote for fun. Honestly though, I haven't been reading in SH for a couple of...

What makes your fiction worth reading at least once in a lifetime?

Oh wow. This reminds me of the novel Dealing with Dragons written by Patricia C. Wrede, from the Enchanted Forest Chronicles series. You can give this book a try if you like headstrong, tomboyish, smart FL.

    Scammers

I've seen this type of comments in fanfiction all the time. They really never stop spamming in there.

    AI vs Actual writers

To me, both is good as long as it's edited. I used AI to help me refine my sentences, and made it much more readable than my blocks of texts that is more telling than showing. AI usually mixed up the names of characters, settings and environment after a couple of chapters, so you can catch it...

    What is Reverse Harem?

You can always do the DNA testing on your own, without telling the woman. But not sure if that will hold up in court, and it might be considered illegally gathered evidence. Well, the not knowing who the father is, is the fun part of the story. You get to explore the mystery and get readers to...

    Attention all Readers...

Most of the time, when I'm binge read through a whole bunch of updates from a new novel, I would not comment cause I'm just too busy reading to reply. Unless something really stands out, I'll keep my comment onto the last updated chapter I've read for the day. Still, I could understand your...
