The Role Thingies (Author, Rising Author, etc) And The Mechanics Behind Them

So. I was chilling and talking with a fellow author in my discord, and we eventually wondered over to this topic (I really don't know either, to be honest).

And my author friend has been on Trending a couple of times, while I have not. Despite this, I have double-ish the views that they have. Of course, they also have the Rising Author title/role and I'm just a run-of-the-mill author. There's no bitterness involved in this, but I'm genuinely curious; how does the title system work?

Is it just based on whether you've gotten on Trending, or does it need a tad bit higher of a milestone than I'm currently at? (Very close to 50k views, so that might be a possibility.)

Or is it based on something else altogether?

I figure since it's not really possible to game the title system, I should get an answer... I'll just have to wait and see, I suppose.

Rising Author is 500 total readers
Well-known Author is 1000
Famous is 2000

It's just a title.

Trending doesn't give any "achievements", titles are from the number of readers as mentioned above. Perhaps in the future, there'll be more than just titles based on readers, but as of today, that's all.

I can personally testify this is fake and NOT true.

You still get 1*s even if you've never hit 1k views per day.

Rookie numbers, I once has 200+ tabs on Opera Mobile enough for it to crash. All of which were tabs of the novels I was waiting for updates. ?

Really? then Google Chrome is trash then . I opened up 118-119 something tabs full of novels and Wikipedia and it crashes,like it resetted into the factory version. Or is it just my phone errors?? I think I should change my phone..

And, yes, by this point I consider all 1 stars troll ratings. You are really telling me that we have lot of stories with something like one 1 star, two, or three, and they have something like above 100k views.

Are you serious? Poor Bene has more, not to mention. Are you telling me that among all these views they were no one brave enough to give these stories a little star?

Well yes, unreasonable 1* happens, but so do unreasonable 5*. I find it distasteful when people complain about 1* and discredit them for being a troll, despite the lack of any evidence.

Anyway, the rating is purely subjective. People will give a good rating to what they like, and give a bad rating to what they don't like. Ben just doesn't write what people like, and the story with little 1* rating just has what people tend to love.
