Tuesday:
Early in the morning, Eudes headed to the Cafeteria and took one hell of a heavy breakfast. In term of quantity, it was comparable to lunch for four people. Despite planning to sit at an empty table, shortly after, his sister arrived and sat in front of him.
"Morning bro. How was your first day? Wait wrong question, how many hours?"
"Two hours..."
"Tsk. Only two?! Damn it. I lost my bet."
Elvire seemed to be annoyed by her brother's lack of mischiefs. Of course, it was only because of a bet, otherwise, she would prefer for him to be disciplined. In any case, both of them ate, each of them sharing their day and telling them what happened.
"Huh. Surprisingly... you'd a quiet day."
"And you're the one in troubles, huh."
Ironically, his sister was in troubles with some of her classmates. She needed money and thus borrowed money from a classmate she trusted. Unfortunately... well, here is the problem. Paying back with interests was not a problem, but it depends on the interests... In any case, she should soon be done. Just a week and every debt will be settled.
"What's her name? If I meet someone from her family, I can beat them up. And call that 'interests.'"
Giggling, she waved her hand and left. Actually, no. It was a tempting offer, she turned back and whispered to his ear the targets' surname: "D. Cezac. And well, it's the youngest daughter. Don't do anything stupid, okay?" That's a given.
Once she left, Eudes finished his breakfast, he returned to the dorms, took a quick shower-- without towel of course. Who needs a towel when the wind is there to dry you? Jokes aside, he quickly wiped his skin. Nonetheless, his hair was still pretty wet.
Arriving late, Eudes felt perplexed about this class. Why? That is simple, according to what he knows. The definition of Arcanic is what is considered to be secret, incomprehensible to common sense and such. Then, if we take the noun, it's simply a tarot. Perhaps, it should be called Mysticism or Esoterism? Shame he did not read any kind of those books. In any case, it seemed that the teacher was keen on rituals? Bah!
This time, he decided to take his time at the Cafeteria. Since he left class, Eudes kept sighing, because he knew. A few pairs of eyes were stuck on him, lurking. Basically, some students were following him. Two possibilities: His sister or-- the kid he overworked the previous day.
Worst case, it's both.
In any case, he only left the Cafeteria around 1:10PM. Of course, he acted as if he was late and thus started running, hurriedly. At this moment, they stopped following him.
The worst course. On top of that, he already knew some concepts of Healing Magic... his sister kept harassing him to help her review her classes. She needed someone to interrogate her. Bah! Perfect time to take a nap!
While it was named Archaic Language-- it was not only about the language, it also included history, culture and such stuff. The teacher only presented what they were going to do this year. She also recommended some books to read, most of them were about History rather than grammar and such...
This professor was straightforward. They entered, he stared at the students till they were quiet and then he started to teach. For some reasons, his presence itself was oppressive. As if the moment spoke, he would unleash hell on them.
"I prefer people who sleep rather than speak. Or at least, if you want to be considerate. Quit the class and never come back."
For Eudes, it was interesting. At least, he liked the professor's abrasive personality. It was someone who wanted to teach, no more, no less. At some point, to test out the waters, Quesnel asked a question and a precise and lengthy explanation was provided.
'Wait. Why do I prefer this teacher rather than the kind ones...'
Now? Eudes slept. When woken up and interrogated, he replied to questions and even went further than just "Basic Economics." Despite that, the teacher pointed out a problem-- he only had theories and no example. Likely, he could not take an Earth-like example, could he?
Skipping dinner and directly heading towards his room. Eudes then left the door ajar and observed through the gap. He was able to notice a few students, who seemed to be annoyed. They were speaking, complaining about him-- that's for certain, they were the ones who were stalking him.
"Aww, man. I am too successful, am I not?" He closed and locked the door.
Laughing bitterly, he wondered how to proceed. Perhaps leave after the curfew and pay a visit to his sister in the dorms? Yanno, maybe she knows something. Bah, let's just take a nap in the meantime.
