If I posted every event, I'd have a full book of horrors..
The ones that stick with me still make me cry, or freeze up, and some still haunt me today.

First off, let me just say I'm literally not supposed to be alive.
My mother had an IUD, and it was imbedded inside my skull as a fetus.
I died while she was giving an unexpected birth at an aunts house, and was pronounced dead after a minute and a half.
I was told as a child by some random old woman on the street that my aunt prayed to god to save me, then when that didn't work, she prayed to the devil. I have no idea who she was, but that scared me for the longest time. having nightmares well into high school.
since then, I've had a weak heart, and a slow heartbeat. Basically, the runt of the litter type of child. but I lived.

Things that have stalked me:
ghosts
shadows
people
an ex
a witch
dolls
a cult
the devil

people that have ☠️ right next to me:
my dad
a grandfather
a grandmother
a cousin
a friend

people who've ☠️ themselves next to me
1 s/o
6 other friends
2 strangers
1 acquaintance

I've attempted sudoku twice..
First time I purposely crashed, and lived without a scratch.
The second time i was alone, and hit my head. There was a lot of blood, but.. I'm still here I guess.

I've only been in the hospital once, and I had so many needles, and bags hooked up to me I have PTSD about waking up covered in needles and tubes. I've always skipped getting medical treatments, having bones heal wrong, and scars all over my body from accidents, or fights or... just life.

I think about these things constantly, but I'm old enough to deal with them now.
I'm sure I need therapy, but I doubt anyone can fix what's wrong with me. lol
so.. that's pretty much why I just write, and read books, and do my work, and go home. I have my own demons to deal with.

There was this time I heard a loud crashing sound outside my house in the morning, lots of noises, people panicking, it was a car crash they had told me, it had flipped several times because of how the structure of the road was. So I went down there while the others were phoning the emergency services, the car was on an acute angle resting on a hill, it's right side in the air.

The horror for me was knowing that the driver and passenger were both intoxicated and that the driver could've been pregnant, which I wasn't sure of. I have no idea on their condition after words but I had tried to do my duty of keeping both of them safe and calm until the emergency services arrived, although it was a pain to get the guy to stay still and not try and get the driver to leave the site of the crash with them even though I think the driver had no ability at the time to move.

There are other ones but I think I'll say them another time or maybe not.

I'm sure there are scary stuff that happened to me, but on the top of my head right now I only remember the scary ones that were told to me.

I have a co-worker whose husband was admitted to a hospital. It was late and she wanted to buy dinner. She was in the elevator and it opened to let an old man in. He was a patient and wearing a blue tag on his wrist.

Silence.

Nothing happened.

The elevator reached a certain floor (can't remember what floor it was) and the old man got off.

By the time my co-worker has reached the lobby, she encountered a nurse pulling a gurney. Sadly the person lying on it has already passed away and is now hidden under the sheet.

The corpse was wearing a blue tag on their wrist.

Hmm… the most prominent one would be the fact that I live rather close to a cult(?)… not much to say though as it doesn’t bother me much but it is rather unnerving when you are taking a late night walk and see a bunch of figures in robes surrounding a burning cross in the corn field… I and my family have seen em a few times though out the last 20+ years… but we tend to mind our own business-nyah.

Uhhhhhh. Recently, my uncle or someone who looks like my uncle, trying to break into my house in the back of the house by the one blind spot I have. :sweating_profusely:

I now have a new camera there.

There is one for me.

I would get sleep paralysis really bad a few years ago. I had some really bad experiences in my childhood, and there was this one time I got sleep paralysis a couple of years ago where one of those experiences manifested in some way. I didn't see anybody in the room, but with my eyes open, I could feel someone touching my body and speaking to me. This person whispered horrible things they would do to me in my ear and every touch of their hand was agonizing and went on for at least 30 minutes.

There are many more that I have, but I am not sure if I want to get super personal. After all, some of them involve attempts at my life.
I had sleep paralysis once. Just, the once. Scariest thing ever happened. I was a back sleeper, and just bolted awake, like someone had jumped on me asleep. Frozen, couldn't move, couldn't scream. Looked like "something" dark and swirling was in the open closet. I was hearing this weird whispered gibberish in my ears. Went on for a little while, then it just snapped and was gone.
Man, I *bolted* up out of bed, and couldn't have been two seconds I was out the front door, on the front sidewalk panting, watching my own house wondering what the *&^% just happened.

My mom and dad were on the front porch, wondering what the hell happened. I tried to explain, but really couldn't. we all just chalked it up to a weird nightmare. I *never* slept on my back again, ever. Instantly became a side sleeper.

Just for fun? This was before the internet was a thing. So no way to explain it. Many years later, I found out on the internet what had happened.

just for shits and gigggles, I was awake during surgery once. *that* was a barrel of monkeys, having my face rebuilt and I could feel and see everything. they didn't believe me, but I described the whole thing, every procedure to a tee. They tried to fool me, asked me which of these three guys rebuilt my cheek. I said none of them. I picked the guy out later.
After finishing my mandatory military service, I once dreamed that I had to go back to the army.
It was the worst nightmare.
I was in the service when I was young, before college. That's common, I think. You'll get that dream every once in a while your whole life, I know I do.

Not visceral horror, but a few months ago I was hiking in a national park. I crouched down to take a photo, and something in my knee shifted. A nerve had become trapped in my kneecap and it wouldn’t come loose. That was the worst pain I’d even felt. I couldn’t stand, or even bend my leg. I sat on the rocky ground, debating whether or not I should call emergency services. I ended up calling them, and long story short, it took an ambulance, a fire truck and a rescue squad to get me out. They still don’t know what caused my knee to do that, but I live in fear it will happen again.

finally saw a "ghost" once. I lived in a giant old house, gutted it and was redoing the whole thing. Never believed in ghosts. Man, I'm walking thru the kitchen, wall's down and I can see out of the cornber of my eye? A *perfect* head and torso floating in the stairs, with those white strips of bandages, everything. I fucking *froze*. I counted to three, and looked... nothing. The hell just happened... I mean, I'm scared, but... there has to be something going on. I looked and looked, nothing. Finally, I retraced my steps. Nothing. Then I retraced my steps, looking down and forwards, like I had been... THEN i saw something. But now, calmer, I realized I was seeing, basically fog. Cold air from outside (house was gutted, remember) was pressing down on warm air inside. When I got my head and the angle and the light *just* right, I could see it. A layer from my bath mousture, was trapped and heading to the stairs and the cold air where it all came together. Thet was the white blob, and the bandages floating, I could see it now. But I tell you, I could imagine how someone would swear on a stack of bibles, they saw a ghost floating on the stairs.
