Hey team!
I want us to create a high-quality, engaging, and profitable story/manhua together

Goal:
Create a story that is addictive, polished, and easy to monetize on platforms like Webnovel, Tapas, or Scribble Hub.
Keep the story engaging from the first chapter, with strong hooks and emotional moments.
Focus on reader retention and quality content, so we can turn it into a long-term profitable series.
If you join, I need commitment, creativity, and reliability. Let’s make a story people will love and pay attention to!

It's an interesting idea. Questions:
1. If you're the writer, do you already have drafts prepared?
2. What's the planner/storyboarder doing if you're the writer? Do they give you ideas/concepts or plan the broad strokes of the story?
3. Do you have any ideas for what kind of story you're wanting to make? You specify manhua, but I'm dumb and I don't know what that means.

These forums are almost entirely made up of writers. You're not going to find many people who are willing to do everything besides write the story for you unless you pay them directly out of pocket for it. You'll find even fewer people who are willing to do all the boring parts of publishing a book for what basically amounts to "I'll pay you in exposure."

I think it would be more respectable and quicker if you just write the story first, then expand accordingly if that story becomes popular/profitable. As of now, you're not showing anything that can give people the confidence or incentive to follow you.

I mean, I definitely need more details, but since someone else is doing the writing, I probably would have the time for it, for storyboarding or editing. I'm just in it for the love of the game. And money. Lot's of money.

Though your major problem is that you mentioned wanting to monetize it on Webnovel, and other sites. Someone might need to fact check me on this, but I'm pretty sure if you actually are making money on Webnovel, you're exclusively stuck on Webnovel, at least that particular story is. Also, you said Manhua, which implies you're either an artist yourself, or looking for one? I mean, I'm always down to hear someone out if they're serious about a collaboration of any sort, but I'm gonna need way more details, and clear understanding of what I'm getting out of this if you're goal is to monetize it.

Yeah, you are exactly right. If you sign the WN contract, you can't upload... anywhere. If you do, you won't get paid, and your account and story get axed. WN might even decide to steal/take over your story since you legally sign away all the rights to your story. OP obviously hasn't done any kind of serious research.

Also, a brand new account with barely any work to show for me. I quickly read a chapter or two, and the average sentence length is like 3 words. I won't accuse him of using AI like a couple of others already did, but it certainly looks a little sus.

Color me doubtful, but if anyone participates, I wish them good luck. Just don't expect to get rich... or earn anything at all. This is a long shot.

Eh, I'm not expecting much off of this, but you never know, sometimes you get that one in a million chance. And besides, I've been looking for another project to take on, anyway.

It looks like your story was AI-generated, probably by Claude
Unrelated, but is that how Claude generate stories? I see that there are many AI-written stories that abuse 'one word one sentence'. I don't think I've seen anything like that in human-written stories before, at least, not in a way that's peculiar/eye-catching. The closest I can think of are passages on a character's emotions or something like a dramatic scene that's focused on noise/sound. So what books did the AI train(steal) with to get this kind of tendency? I really don't understand.

AI likes to emphasize, that's something I've noticed, and making one word a full sentence is a way to do that. I've done it myself, but only for scenes where it actually feels appropriate to do one word, or just short sentences, but most of my sentences are pretty long, sometimes too long, as you can clearly see here, which I did entirely on purpose.

I'm most likely wrong here, but from what I remember there was some kind of word limit per prompt for early AI (or LLM) models.

For example, if someone asked an AI to write Chapter 1 of their story and gave all the instructions, the AI will try its best to fit everything in one message in response. Maybe that's why a lot of short sentences to cram everything in one message within the AI's word limit. I'm guessing the future models kind of kept this tendency to keep everything short unless specified by the user. :blob_frown:

I’ve got a theory that AI writing styles pull a lot from Chinese literature. I see the same patterns: tons of description but almost no dialogue, a weird focus on how things smell, and constant antithesis. Gemini, for instance, uses that over-the-top, grandiloquent prose. Claude, on the other hand, usually sticks to those three-word sentences like: Cold. Indifferent. Like a granite wall. I know the example isn't perfect, but it shows what I mean

And you're absolutely going to need a proofreader, especially with AI handling the translation from Chinese. That is going to be essential.
I can probably be proofreader/editor for your project - assuming it's content I'll like.
