I have a bad habit of judging a novel's length by its chapter count, even though I know that the word count per chapter may vary greatly from novel to novel, so my method is flawed.

For a long time, I had wondered how the hell I even developed this bad habit.

I finally found the answer today.

It's cuz I was primarily a Light Novel reader before getting into Web novels. And light novels are released in volumes.
The total number of pages in a volume and the word count in a page are almost equal in almost all Light novel series.

So, judging a story's length through the number of volumes released is a pretty accurate way of judgment for Light Novel readers.

When I began to get into Web novels, my bad habit carried over. And it persists to this day.
