I'm asking what's the genre you usually write for?

I write for lots of genre, though I do like brainrot. And contents like these fuel my creativity:

I'll say mine is the SCP-esque kinda horror, or one where the protagonist is the kind that evolves by devouring, kinda cliche but yeah. Even better if it's Yuri.

Genres: Fantasy, SoL, action and drama.
Subgenres: Strong FMC + wholesome fantasy + dark fantasy + found family = grimlight (not grimdark).

Fantasy.
As a chronic daydreamer, the genre is my life. :blobrofl:

I also like strong FMC! And Wholesome fantasy, too. Though can't stand genreic tropes.

Hmm, mhm.

Personally, I'll go for anything that has a great plot and keeps me at the edge of my seat, but I think I'd prefer: Slice of Life, Romance, Action, Light comedy, family, a bit fantasy. They vary though and are a lot, though these are the ones I can still actively remember

Harem, action and isekai are a must have for me. Though my story isn't isekai. I didn't want to limit myself to any genres, so I just thought, what if multiple worlds merged with Earth? :blob_hmm: Then hit it with post-apocalypse, superpowers, and other things like sci-fi, all kinds of races... so on

As a reader: Mystery, Romance, Fantasy, Dark fantasy, Cosmic Horror, Supernatural, casual smut. -And virtually anything about witches, demons, succubi, or bloody murder.

As a Writer: Dark Fantasy, Supernatural, adventure, adult smut -and pretty much everything with gods, demons, and bloody murder.

Why the difference in smut.? I get shy, anxious reading other people's dirty thoughts, but have no issue relaying my own?? I'unno.. Trust me, it doesn't make sense to me either, my brain is just stupid that way. lol.

Huh. Complex world-building, I see.

Hybrid genres.
I like to read things that play with the genres, mixing Slice of Life and System, or High Fantasy, Sports and Crime, or whatnot (and usually with a good deal of comedy but comedy is not the focus, just part of the story).
Everything I write tends to migrate to either superheroes, horror, or high fantasy (or a combination of these), no matter what it starts as (though my attempt at a romance novel, if I get back to it, looks like it will morph into an action/adventure/modern espionage thing before finally resolving).
