I really want to post the story that I am working on, but I feared I might not write again in the long term and leave those who read on a cliffhanger, so I try to complete at least one arc( 40 to 55 chapters)

I have 5 chapters currently

So we can expect 2 months if lucky(I wrote- I wrote in one sitting and wrote a lot, and if not, I will not even touch it after days or one or 3 months)

There are two types of writers. First, writers who learn as they release. They perfect their writing through the process; the important thing is to release regularly. Second, writers who release after perfection. They release stories that are already written.

I think you should go ahead and launch your story even if you only have a few chapters. And maybe you should leave a message saying that you don't write regularly or something like that.

Of course, people who publish every day have a better chance of getting readers faster. But not everyone has the time and energy for that. Just do what you like.

That's what I'm doing. I'd like to publish every day, but I don't have that option, so I publish at least one chapter per week.
I would love to be able to write every day, but I don't make money writing yet, which is a shame. But I love writing my story. :blob_happy:

In the past, I've found that publishing what you have and getting some feedback can really help the process. You do you, though.

I finished Beacon of Hope before I published here. That is the only reason two chapters are getting posted per day. The thing took me a couple of months to complete originally. I didn't even know the site existed when I first started publishing chapters elsewhere.

Everybody has their own pace and no one should penalize you for it.

Just take it as you go, I think it's better to be an author that releases slowly over time than someone who is consistent but burns out, eventually dropping the story. I already got close to doing that. I was trying to force myself to write 10 chapters a week. As soon as I had nearly 30 chapter drafts written, I crashed quickly when I realized I needed to edit them all and restructure them into web novel format.

So now, I'm releasing slowly while I take my time editing everything. Which is painful, cause I hate editing with a passion. :blob_sweat:

I've got a weird question for you: why are you writing? If it's just for fun and you feel like the experience might lose its spark later on, then that's okay. Your goal was to have fun, get the experience, and then move on when you're ready. But if there's something more you're hoping to get from it, like, I don't know... maybe it's to complete the story, share something meaningful, or challenge yourself? Then give yourself the time and space to achieve that. :blob_melt:

Writing should feel rewarding, whether it's through completion or just the journey itself. It's your call to make. Never feel like the audience is the one in control of your content. :blob_cookie:

When I got back into writing, I was unemployed and had nothing but time. Two to three chapters a day (split between four or five stories) was, if not easy, at least plausible.
Now I'm working two real (part time, though one may be transitioning to full time) jobs, writing two stories for Pocket FM, and working 1-4 days a year for the city elections council and 2-3 chapters a week is lucky. Things happen. Just put out what you can while you can and hope to never have to take too long of a hiatus.
