teenage hormones and their effect on transmigrator/reincarnator

Is teenage hormones really a thing? Because I keep seeing these mc which is mentally grown but got thrusted into an adolescent body of some fanfic character.

And one thing I noticed is the fact that this teenage hormones thingy and it always gotta be sexual...first it's just staring at the maid ass next thing I know he's resisting just..a bit and then not even a few sentence later he's latching onto her breast??

Is this the most likely scenario for most people if reincarnation or transmigration is real? To succumb to teenage hormones?

I will counter that with when I was 18, i was 'dating' 30-40 year olds, and now that im in my 40s, I have no issues with 50 year olds or back down to 18-20...they all have their charms...

Puberty is a thing, so yeah, "teenage hormones" are a thing as well. And the whole "reborn with the fully functioning mind of an X-years-old" thing is kinda unrealistic if you think about it; The adult brain is what size? And how big is a baby? So, unless your reincarnator looks like Megamind, there's no way the newborn brain could compute all the stuff happening, and would realistically use the limited brain space for life support instead of "previous life memory data that might or might not be helpful, but takes away way too much space to keep newborn.exe running".

Oh... lots to unpack there. I definitely question the 30-40 year olds that approached you when you were 18. I'm in my early 20's, and I see anyone below 20 as a baby, dating them is out of the question for me. To each their own, I guess...

I was a young soldier at the bar, the original pick up culture. It wasn't that uncommon of a thing back then, especially since not everyone had a damn camera to cancel you on social media for doing stupid shit while drunk.

As for now, I dont go looking for the 18 year olds, though I have a friend that is 23 who has some interest in me, particularly since im divorced now. However I am quite content to remain single now, no need for another woman to abuse me then take over half my shit again now that I finally recovered.

I see, I see. I still think it would be funny (and kind of wholesome) if an isekai MC who originally was an old guy got transmigrated into a young man's body only hits on grannies in the new world. GILF chaser, if you will.

Usually characters seem to be able to reason and think at the same level of their aged counterpart. Which implies that brain development and psychological functions will be equivalent to an adult.

This means that most people should have developed mental function in order to not be influenced by hormones. Heightened emotions would be expected along with mood swings, but none of it severe enough to be apparent (well not exactly... but I don't wanna explain Freudian psychology).

There are people who won't have the mental development to handle hormonal imbalance and behave as according to their developed thoughts... but that's not what we see in the fictions.

Based on the exhibited mental capacity, the teenage hormones wouldn't have an effect as shown. (Even if they didn't have the mental development the hormonal imbalance doesn't warrant the level of perversion)

Never understood the appeal of Breast really but then again I have always been quite odd and averse to sexual desire.

These stages all are meant to reflect stages of (layman's term) conflict. They all are associated with specific erogenous zones and depending on resolution of conflict impacts their personality (especially while under stress)


Age 0-2
Oral
Associated with breast/bottlefeeding.
If they struggle to wean, it leads to excessive drinking and yelling.

Age 2-3

Toilet training.
If they don't learn to use a toilet.
