And 50 million is nothing
That doesn't negate my point, and 50M is far from nothing. Let's put that number into perspective, the top 10 military combined, with reserves, floats around 10 million, that's 3% of the US population. 50 million is somewhere around 14.41%, that's profitable, and steady. Now let's look at Google is embroiled in 7 major antitrust cases, one of which has language intending to break YouTube from Google, which will cripple the service.
Next, yes, YouTube is bigger with 3 Billion users, except estimates indicate that 45% of those are likely bot and inactive accounts.

Youtube's been on the way out for years, at least in terms of a platform for popular content. Lately, people have been moving to places with shortform content, like Tiktok or Instagram Reels. There's a reason why they pushed out the unpopular YouTube Shorts program.

It's just not a profitable platform and a lot of people hate using it. I think most people think the site is terrible, but no real good alternative exists.

Oh dear.
Soon standoffish and boorish Youtubers might have to get off their butts and actually work at a real job for a living.
Ahhhhh! ???
Caveat: Those YT "shorts" were a joke and a half. They were clearly trying to compete with Tiktok and fell short of the mark - and by short I mean not even in the ballpark.

I wouldn't consider kick a valid alternative. It's where the dregs of the streamer crowd end up when they get banned from the other platforms, the viewerbase for those streamers is just as bad too.

There's just no real alternative with the sheer scale and breadth of YT's content. Everything else is either too small, focussed on a particular niche or specialized in something where YT is behind.
It's the first time I'm hearing about Rumble, Odyssey and D-Tube (or I might have heard of them, but not enough to remember them). Twitch is primarily a streaming service. IG and ShitTok focus on brain rot shorts.

I had never heard of "Rumble" before and thought I would look into it.
And now that I have, I can say with disgust, I won't be going to that site ever again, thank you.

Same thing usually
I know plenty of morons in there 30's and 40's and older who thought voting Obama was a good move. Twice. While yes, Gen-Z seems to have a special brand of retardation, it's not only them. Plenty of Millennials and Gen-X's who are just as imbecilic.

The amount of people who still seem surprised at the revelations of our previous nimrod-in-chief, and the slowly-growing unease with the bits of info painstakingly leaking about the 2020 business...which anyone with half-a-brain was already aware of, or at the very least suspicious of....is nauseatingly depressing. Though with the latter, there is still plenty of naysayers who refuse to even consider the possibility that SOMETHING was irregular.

Most safest and securest eh? Indeed.
