Sorry, where did I say this?
I said it's not the ideal list to check for market research. Trending highlights stories that aren't the site's top performers—in fact that's probably intentional, because the stories who are actually doing well don't need highlighting. There's a reader-max hardcoded somewhere, almost certainly.
Nice strawman though. Wonder if you did it intentionally or are just this bad at logic

Did you really ping the site owner over this? Man you are cringe.
You did remind me that I need to fix my patreon. Thanks for that. I'm not a strawman though. I'm a vampire.

Glad you deflected with a joke and didn't address the actual point I made—I accept your concession. I don't have any issue with you, I don't know who tf you are, you just need to get your ego under control because you aren't even in the top 25 authors on this site, and top 25 on ScribbleHub wouldn't make top 200 on RoyalRoad, Webnovel, etc.
And web serials in general are a tiny niche.
Get some perspective. Nothing I've said is wrong and you haven't made a single good point. If you respond to me again at least make an argument, this is just sad

You're right. I could never get top 3 novels on another site like Webnovel. That would be too hard and require writing chapters. ?

you're just stuck in this masturbatory echo chamber forums that doesn't know wtf they're talking about and won't ever call someone out for being wrong
With this reminder I'll just leave since you two are officially circlejerking despite not making a remotely decent argument against anything I said. But you have your name-matching bubble buddy backing you up, so that proves you aren't in the wrong. Christ

Well, I can’t guarantee comments. I can probably place a safer bet on lurkers. :blob_hmm:

That dilemma aside, there are multiple ways you can handle this.

1. Following trends.
—> If you don’t want to do this, you’ll end up abandoning it. So, keep that in mind.

2. What you want to write.

If it is the second, it is very possible to do, but requires a lot of leg work.

Figure out these first.

—> Story.
—> Setting.
—> Beginning, Middle, End.

Afterwards, I’d advise to write it out beforehand. It is less stressful on you, and you can make a clear schedule.

Then be ready to do consistent posts.

Now, what carries this is your ability to write. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. You have to transition your thoughts into words.

And it doesn’t end there, the hardest part to do clearly. Is transitioning emotions into words.

You will learn this over time. I’d also advise to do a rewrite or two as well. Promote yourself, and most of all, be patient.

What I can offer is the base for this.

Plan out your stories.

Estimate how many chapters the story will be, you can always make additions or subtractions if necessary.

Chapter 1
-
-
-
-
Chapter 2
-
-
-
-
Chapter 3

You get the point, the dashes are simply there to show that’s where the plans go. I’d also advise creating multiple scenarios to prevent getting stuck.

It also helps to create not only multiple paths, but allows you to make new careful paths if nothing somehow doesn’t click.

Be patient, and build up properly. I’d also advise, starting out with something gripping. Having something that pulls readers into the story, that will buy you time to write at a reasonable pace.

It's really not surprising the biggest success story on these forums is a literal noname to the site even on an already small site to its small niche of web serials

If anyone is actually here to learn how to write, please avoid these forums like the plague. The only remotely coherent advice I've seen is from the user Story_Marc or whatever his name is

See I find you endlessly entertaining. You preach about how to be a successful author and you come here expecting everyone get on their knees. But the problem is that you are already on your knees deep throating Agdistis.

Which reminds me? How that super popular book coming along? Did you finish it yet?

I never bring up my credentials, I make arguments that stand on their own. The only one deepthroating here is you to me. Literally stalking my post history and bringing that shit up over and over.
I am not Agdistis and I don't give a shit if you think I am. Go shit up his comment section for all I care
"How's that super popular book coming along?"
I made $10,000 this month from my writing, since you're frothing at the mouth for me to slap my dick on the table. There you go—how do you like it?
Agdistis doesn't even have a proper patreon backlog, he clearly doesn't care about monetization

Since you asked me to not engage with you I try to do so. But I can't walk past this thing. Bro, no offence here. Have you ever thought OP made everything within the second "way" of doing it? Really, no offence here, but my guy, rookie, has been writing for years now, and you seriously advise him to plan his stories? Or to follow a schedule? I don't know the word I should use here, but the closest one to what I want to say would be, this looks very condescending.

I made $15,100 this WEEK from my writing, and just imagine how much more I can bullshit tomorrow.
