Why is WN's community full of toxic readers?

(To clarify, I'm talking about Webnovel)

I know I have already posted threads ranting about something similar... but seriously, what's wrong with them??

Every time I read a chapter, I go to the comments section in search of funny comments or something insightful about the story. But nooooooo, some ar**holes, in plural, want to force their opinion on the author and keep trash talking the story they are reading for free.
It's just sad.

Leaving that behind, which one do you think is cuter: Axolotls, Hedgehogs, Otters, Blobfish or Owls?

Not in this site or RR, fortunately. I also haven't had any bad experiences here.
I mean Webnovel.com. It's a different site. I know, a bit dumb of a post. Ranting about another site.

I don't know about the 'normal' stories over there. But I read fanfiction in WN and it's full of the comments I mention.

Maybe those people want to be isekai to another world. Just saying, Isn't it just the requisite of being isekai aside from truck-kun doing its job. Ahaha

There was this one time I woke up to hundreds of notifications in my WebNovel story, only to find out it was someone nitpicking on my work.

As there was a feature there that allows us to answer comments, I countered each one of his nitpicky comments with historical facts (since he was focusing on those). In the end, he gave up. Lol

P.S.: I wanted to show his comments, but it was gone, unfortunately.

Webnovel has had a huge lack of moderation, or at least caring moderation, for the past several years to the point that it has become the Reddit of webnovel sites(with the exception of Reddit serials).
