Hello!
I'm a new wannabe author and just wanted to ask a few random questions:

1. What do you usually do after finishing a chapter?
2. How long does it usually take you to write, let’s say, a 1.5k to 2k-word chapter? (Including editing and grammar checks.)
3. What’s the longest break you’ve taken from writing at all?
(I’ve been on a 2-day break now — not sure why, but everything I write feels off, and nothing is coming out right…)

Write another story.

I write short stories. A lot of my stories are only one chapter.

1. I proofread it and ship it.
2. An hour to two hours.
3. Maybe like 5-6 months.

whoah 2 hours that's crazy!

then my time is super long, i need 3-5 times of yours....

Maybe like 5-6 months.
is this because you busy? or just dont want to write at all
Started a break, and then I got berry depressed during that time. Now that I am back to writing, I don't even want to take a break. Been writing every day. Fear that if I stop, I will not have the discipline to pick it back up until at least a few weeks.

I usually start working on the next chapter if I am still in the writing zone and have ideas. Otherwise, I edit the chapter spelling and grammar while reading it aloud to make sure it sounds good.

Work, sleep, eat, repeat

If I am allowed to sit and write, it's around 2 hours. But usually ~5 days because life :blob_frown:

The second month started yesterday. Too many things to do, no time to write :(
But I'm optimistic about next weekend :blob_melt:

Sure, it's quite easy. :blob_melt:
Select the text and press "quote"

then they will be visible here in "insert quotes" just below new message window

From there you can delete what you don't want or insert them all. And done.

I've been finishing about a chapter a week. However, I have a three-year-old, a part-time evening job, and i'm a full-time student. Sometimes I go at least a few days without even thinking about my story while I'm busy.

I feel like if I sat down and wrote all at one time, though, a few hours at least for a chapter. I'm indecisive and spend a lot of time writing, erasing, and re-writing. Especially descriptions and setting scenes.

You're not being slow or indecisive — you're just working hard to make your chapter the best it can be. That kind of dedication is something to be proud of.

I've been wanting one myself but no green light yet hahaha

It's the best thing ever - but say goodbye to any free time! Haha. I love my daughter with everything I have, and even though she's so young, the main character of my story is loosely based on my daughter's personality traits. :P Stubborn, emotionally uncontrollable, caring. And when I plotted her looks, it's what I think of my own daughter in the future.
