After thinking about this for a really, really long time, I think I've made my decision. Superheroes have a really negative reputation in this world because of the plague, and he wants to improve it. He also wants to show other heroes that even if they've done horrible things, they can still do good once they've been cured. So because of that, I'm going to call him Archetype, because he's the example that other heroes are going to follow in the future. His friends will call him Arc.
