Stonefist?

I've been driving myself insane for the past few days trying to think of a name for the MC in the superhero story I'm developing. He has the power to summon giant fists made of stone from the ground, which then mimic the movements his real hands make. The obvious answer is Stonefist, but I don't like that. It feels...I dunno, shallow somehow. Like, the only way it could be more cliche is if I put Man at the end of it. I especially don't want that to be the case because the other heroes who were driven mad by the hero plague give themselves meaningless, over the top names like Commander Powerjustice or Lord Judgement Inferno, and the MC having a simple name that actually means something is his way of setting himself apart from them.

I want the name to represent who he is and what he stands for, not what he can do, if that makes sense. Since he was previously driven insane by the hero plague and hurt a lot of people, I thought about naming him after how he's seeking penitence or wants to be redeemed and forgiven, but those all came across as too...Shadow the Hedgehog. "I am Penitence/Guilt/Contrite" doesn't really match the more upbeat attitude I want to give him.

Any ideas?

Ground Pounder. Hammer fist. Razacoatl (Don't know if it actually means anything. Just based on aztec naming sounds with a hint of japanese thrown in at the beginning. Sounds like a "rock-solid" dude).

I think something in a different language or archaic English. But I don't have a clue how smart he is, so maybe not?

I considered it, but I'm trying to move away from the "cool sounding word in another language" trope since I've used it in so many other stories already.

That's the vibe I'm going for, but it's but it takes too long to say. And typing it over and over again would be a pain.

That was one of the powers a character who used the codename "Geomancer" used in a story I never finished putting together (wound up first trying to write it as a script, then a Champions adventure, then a novel, then an Icons adventure, and then kind of scrapped it altogether). She also could make shields of rock, rock "slides" like the slides Marvel Comic's Iceman uses to travel, and "talk" to stone.
Rockfist might be just as good as Stonefist.
Hand of Gaia (especially if an Ecoterrorist).
Bigby (if the character grew up playing Advanced Dungeons and Dragons).
Penance has been, IIRC, used by both Marvel and DC for different characters (one who essentially turned his costume into an iron maiden so that each time he moves he hurts himself...).
Marvel also used Vindicator until they had him rename himself Guardian, then die and have his wife take over the Guardian name.
Could steal a page from C. S. Lewis (in the Space Trilogy) and go with Ransom (he was the price used to ransom mankind from sin in the end).

A true classic, gave the English language the name for the actual device; a bit longer than most short stories but not a novella. If you haven't read it yet, he was called the Dean of Science Fiction for being so good at it!

The earth element is often associated with patience and stability, as well as slow and steady improvement. Maybe you can draw from myth somehow.

If he's upbeat, You could give him a funny name like "Stoned Fister"

Otherwise you could him Grit.

Grit embodies the emotion he is currently using to hang on to the will to make up for his mistakes and not wallow in sadness which is quite easy, Especially for upbeat characters which tend to trend towards more empathetic and emotion-sensitive traits.
