The multiple betrayals canonically happen in Ssemouy's chapter, though due to the character's nature, it's a temporary thing. She's drawn to stronger villains, and their presence empowers her. However, I believe there are multiple timelines in the SHHS universe. One is the novel's canon, another is this thread's canon, then there's the forum canon, the Discord canon... Everything is chaotic, and every time Matcha dies, it probably generates another timeline. In one of these timelines, Matcha's birthday was happy (in this thread), and Ssemouy baked him a cake.
It's truly a mess, way beyond Nasuverse or MCU.
