Rules
- New characters must be Level 1.
- Level 1 means that your character cannot be much stronger than an average civilian adult (see below for examples).
- Please nerf your charactersabilities, skills, and other perks to match the level system.
- While half-dragons, demigods, archmages, etc. characters are okay, you must seal their abilities somehow.
- For example, the world of Tonia could have a different magic system. All characters are expected to re-learn magic in this world.
- For example, the journey through the Gate may have weakened your character physically, so they need to train again.
- For example, electricity might not work — physics could be different — so sci-fi equipment could be damaged and unusable.
- For example, a demi-god could find that they are mysteriously unable to use their divine powers.
- All of these are suggestions! It's okay to get creative and nerf your character in your own way.
- New characters can arrive with what they're wearing (e.g. suit of hi-tech armor), but it must be bad quality, broken, or damaged.
- New characters cannot have more than 500Gin money.
- Note: 10G = approximate living expenses for one day.
- Creating multiple characters is allowed.
- Please include a link to your character profile in your SH forum signature.

I want to eat a Kukku egg!
Sponsor: Lady Saskia Rosenthal Location: Scribel City - Noble District, Gem Ravine Level: 7
Objectives
- Go to Gem Ravine
- Collect a Kukku egg
- Don't let the egg get damaged
- Bring the egg to Lady Saskia
- Cook the egg for her to a very high standard
- (optional) Bring back 6 eggs in total for future meals
I've heard about how you adventurers have this thing called a rank exam where you are told to live off the land in Gem Ravine.
I also heard from my husband that one of the main tasks is to collect and bring back a Kukku egg undamaged.
As a lady who enjoys the cuisine of the highest quality, I want to try one!
I will reward you very handsomely for the effort!

I feel like I have to add a rule now saying you can only gain exp from quests.*creates a level 1 character that has 5 potions of 1000 EXP*
Bugger forgot I had this in here stil.Appraisal
"I'm not sure if this job was truly needed, but I thank you for your hard work, miss Aieo.
"That said, I'll have to put a penalty on your rewards as you weren't able to finish the job and left some adventurers listed as unknown. Also, your reported wasn't easily organized, which made it hard to parse through.
"May your emperor help you improve your organization abilities."
Final Reward:
Exp: 25
Money: 8G
OOC: Remember to tag it as appraised~
Also, we have a decent amount of level 4s I believe! Nene is one of them, for one! xD
I don’t want any character to pass the Rank D exam without feeling a major sense of loss or defeat. The exam should be structured in a way that forces a metaphorical defeat for the character, even if they have a nominal victory.
I doubt anyone else is going to have this problem but having all the other guards murdered in front of her and even the town being conquered would not be much of a problem for AIEO she's used to worse after all.More on the philosophy for the Rank D exam:
It’s generally been my observation that most players write their characters into straight successes everywhere across the board. I’ve seen comparatively few major setbacks and obstacles for characters. The handful of mishaps have mostly been extremely minor/trivial in nature.
Perhaps this is me being stubborn, but stories are fundamentally uninteresting if the protagonist (your character) never experiences a major failure — from which they can grow further from.
Consequently, if players aren’t going to give their own characters those big failures, I’d fully intend to bake it into the exams. Consequently, you could say the Rank D is kind of the exam that you have to fail in order to pass.
The logic for the exam progression is as follows:
- Rank E: Fresh-eyed newbie adventurer. I’m awesome!
- Rank D: Fuck.
- Rank C: I learned my lesson from last time.
- Rank B+: These will probably be mentor exams.
AIEO's reaction: Crossbow bolt to each of the women's head. "The Emperor's mercy has been passed."That's some next-level gore right there— I could already see some of our 'adventurers' fell onto their knees as they were too horrified/timid to do anything against this strategy.
I'm pretty sure the original variant of Warhammer used to run with a variant of this trope. Though it got changed to them being mushroom/animals that grow from spores. On a side note, I think it's a primarily Eastern trope, never heard of it happening in Western Fiction.
I wanted to make her seem like a woman with no concept of money, though...I get that you wanted to make it give low exp, but high money, but... You went way too far, Nah! >.<
You're giving over 10x the usual monetary rewards for quests! That's bonkers! >.<
I'd suggest cutting the money rewards to 50G(100G) and increasing the EXP to some extent.
Sigh... when will I ever caught up to the top 2. I think I'm at the third place at the moment— Or, anyone slipped under my notice?Alright, updated~
Turns out I was 1300 exp behind the real value
That was my bad
Hooray for Tony-chan! \(^^)/Alrighty, bug got fixed and it's back to story time...... maybe later cas I'm mentally stressed.
In other news..... hurray for Tony!
Then we use the shotgun! \(^^)/I feel like I have to add a rule now saying you can only gain exp from quests.
*Then they make another account to make a quest that gives 1000 exp and only asks you to drink a glass of water.*
Those are Orks, not Goblins.I'm pretty sure the original variant of Warhammer used to run with a variant of this trope. Though it got changed to them being mushroom/animals that grow from spores.
Yeah, but it still breaks balance...I wanted to make her seem like a woman with no concept of money, though...
