The duck waddled towards the bread, quacking loudly with anticipation. It had been a long, hungry day, and nothing would satisfy his hunger like a mouthful of delicious bread.

But as he approached the table, his quacking turned to a quiet squeak. The bread was gone. Someone had eaten it, not even the crumbs were left behind.

The duck was devastated. He had been so excited for that bread, and now it was all gone. He let out a loud quack of sadness and disappointment before waddling away, feeling as empty as his tummy.
