First, helping on the hospital/clinic. As not everyone possess mana, there is a necessity for the adventurer to possess some first aid skill. This would reward first aid skill. Think of it as some kind of paramedic. This would be for practical skill like here to apply the potion.

There are also medicine-specialized alchemist running apothecary, where adventurer could learn about medicine mixing. Understanding the medicine, like what mixture is effective on what cases. If they had volunteered a total of five times from both quest line (2-3 ratio), they could take battlefield medic exam.

The license would give them qualification as medic with some medical skills that is not related to using mana, hopefully. I am thinking of making something like in the manga "The wrong way to use healing magic" where they are the first responder on the battlefield.

Then there are the certified healer, where they use the mana to do healing. Understanding the biology of common races of this world is what the quest would entail.

Too complicated?
I never replied to this! :blob_upset:

Yeah! I'll add a hospital/clinic quest. I actually originally had one planned, but I ended up discarding it since I couldn't think of anything unique about it.

I want to avoid an apothecary guild quest in Gelderholm, because I feel like it would give the impression that there isn't a medicine shortage or that the apothecaries are better in Gelderholm than in Scribel -- which in my headcanon isn't supposed to be the case. Consequently, I think I might just use the Scribel alchemist quest as a prerequisite to the Gelderholm medical ones.

I'm not sure if I feel convinced about a "medic exam" or a "license". The quests are generally all open-ended and do not teach "skills", and the licenses generally exist as something that unlocks an obvious material benefit (e.g. Smithing Guild => can use guild forges, Merchants Guild => can use guild wagons).

To me, an exam restricts the number of people who are able to do something, which is counterintuitive to what you would want in a war time. It seems fine to me to just use a quest progression? If you helped out at the hospital, next they would ask you to help out elsewhere?

Fair enough. I was saying 40 as that would be 1/5th the way to level 2. At 35 it also almost gets you at 200 in 5.
I've been trying to keep the less dangerous jobs to under 20% exp to the next level.

There's East/West exploraton quests still up.

Otherwise take a random quest and just... take an extra long trip. :blob_happy:

East is just tall grass plains and a quarry/mine. No idea what else is that way. I think @GDLiZy also mentioned maybe taking a quest this way.

West is Asteria and a bunch of other human villages/towns/city. Not explored in detail. @Generic.Archdemon is interested in taking a quest line this way.

South/Southeast is Swamp/Lakes/Lizardmen. @Feathers95 is doing something.

Each of these directions is pretty big, so I'm sure you're able to insert something! If you're doing something big, maybe it would be good to link up with what the others are planning!

Where's the exploration quest? >.<
I need to take it so that I can introduce the new region!
Oh, and just so you're aware! There's a few requirements to open a new quest board.
  1. The Guild needs a reason to establish a branch there.
  2. The location / biome / setting / monsters needs to be different from an existing one.

There's also Spire Reef (pirate country) far to the Northeast and Gelderholm 1 week to the Northwest, but I didn't mention those because there were a lot of quests going North for a period.

Material benefit huh. How about opening a clinic? Also, I think the merchant stalls for window shop and above should need the merchant guild's license.

Oh, Spire reef is northeast? Damn. Southeast then.
Awesome! ^^ You know it's fine to go in a direction that people have already gone in. As long as you walk far enough away, there shouldn't be anything that conflicts with anybody.

This Library entry sort of describes the world map in words.

Maybe? It just doesn't seem like something other players would use extensively. I just haven't seen many examples of a medical guild in most generic fantasy stories. I guess it's probably because medieval guilds existed to regulate prices, and healers are often as poor as dirt. XD

And yeah, I can agree with that with higher merchant stalls.

For instance, you could write that following the road west for a very long time lead to this crazy intersection with 10-different crossroads. :blobrofl:

Then you basically wouldn't have to worry about overlapping. :blob_happy: There's plenty of room to fit a lot of stuff!

As much as that is alright, I would rather have something basic like world map be consistent and not messed up. 10 crossroads still need to fit into the map y'know.

In most fantasy stories, the people in charge of healing are priests, and not dedicated doctors, so... It would feel weird to have a medical guild, wouldn't it?

I mean, there are alchemists that create potions, herbalists that make medicine and priests that heal with magic... Which one of them makes the medical guild and how is it managed?

It's such a can of worms that I don't think it's very worth making it exist in the first place.

I still need to get Liana used to things and revert back to her normal personality before taking your quest.

For some reason, and I really don't know why it did, your post made me think of the manga/anime Shirayuki no hime.
Ahhhh, such a good story~

It is more that I am surprised. It is just simple tavern rp and everyone can participate. And everyone gets to post there favourite non-nsfw fetish urr fashionable artwork. You all even get to probably make your favourite Oujo sama to think about all kinds of scandalous dresses I thought such a kind of quest would be a bit different and attract a bigger swarm of players. Heck it does not even interfere with other quests people are doing.

On the other hand my last two quests I was not expecting it to be picked up in a day and there being a bit of competition for them.

In my second quest I was trying to introduce an idea of different levels of rewards and requirements. I would have test it again coz I dont think it had any impact.
