Yes, you can kill off your characters if you want to.

I would also recommend that you put up a custom quest on the quest board about it

Writing a quest helps advertise your plot to other players.

Look out, scout, info brokering were all things he did but did it really end well for him? What would Okarin or his teacher Felicia say if they saw them now. Well not that they could. According to the reports he’d read in the guild in his spare time Felicia had long surpassed him in level and reached rank E. Now she should be patrolling the borders of the city.

And, Okarin, while not as fast, was doing his best to save his fellow slimes. It made it hard for him to hunt any slime for practice. Since it’ll probably shock the little guy's heart if he ever took the life of one. Smiling bitterly at his situation he stayed on the ground waiting for something to pop up.

Felicia is always willing to do a party quest with her star pupil! Maybe it could help give him back some confidence?

Yeah! That would be great for Cassel. I just need to give him enough development for that to happen or you know drag him out for some training. Hard to imagine most of this is because of one incident with one nosy slime.
