1I can see it from your perspective however I've been around a while now and I have seen such utter cruelty from people who follow the same faith against all manner of people, including their own children, that I can't believe that there's no hate involved.
Christianity has two rules above all else.
First, love God with all your heart.
Second, love thy neighbor.
Christians are capable of being hipocritical and cruel but people lying about practicing a faith or doing it poorly don't define the faith.

Only time I will get involved is if I know the person being harassed and that is independent of how a woman dresses.

I don’t get involved with strangers anymore after almost being charged with harassment myself for trying to intervene on some assholes.

Seriously, fuck that. I’m not going to lose my career based on the whims of some girl who couldn’t give a fuck about me.
Whatever you do or don't do isn't my business; however, a generalized moral justification for inaction can't be made. Condolences for you, though.

I call the police. I just don’t get involved myself anymore.

That’s the most I can do these days.

Anyway, I apologize for the outburst. Some bad memories just need to stay in the past.

A married woman should not be showing that much skin. Unless they're poly, then that's different.
What? That’s stupid and out of date. Shush your views on what others can wear on their own bodies in this thread. Do it somewhere else.
Actually I take back what I said. Having multiple partners even if you're not having sex might still be adultery. So still a sin.

never said she was the problem for how she dresses. You’re just trying to frame this in a way that justifies your viewpoint.

The problem isn’t how she dresses, the problem is she doesn’t try to avoid problems on her own.

Besides, isn’t she a strong independent woman, she can handle the harassment on her own, no need for me to do anything about it.
I mean the whole reason we got into this ruffle was you suggested that a married women shouldn't dress a certain way so you kind of did say the problem was how she dresses.

And holy yikes women do avid this kind of thing for the as best they can but it still happens constantly just ask any women you know how often they hear stupid comments you'll be shocked by what they tell you.

Finally they do deal with it for the most part and if you don't want to help people out that's fine you do you.

Come on you derail threads all the time. Plus it's a poll thread so it's not like the discussion matters as much as it would in a regular thread

technically speaking I’m allowed to have any view I want.

As long as I’m not enforcing my views on others, it doesn’t matter.

And/or if she's breastfeeding. Kid has to have easy access.
I'm poly AND breastfeeding, and I don't give a damn about if others think I'm showing too much skin.

I have numerous poly friends, and I deeply dislike having it stated that poly is a sin or adultury, when I both do not agree with that statement and find it incredibly offensive on so many levels.
Edit: Truly. It only matters because it descends into what I consider to be truly repulsive statements and crossing moral boundaries that do not need to be crossed on any forum or thread outside of ones specifically for the topic. It's love and who loves who and in what way. You should know that it goes too far to cover such personal topics.

You were who I was thinking of when I was making the joke. It just went off the rails when @Seaspecter took it differently than I expected.
Someone harassed my wife when she was walking home yesterday. Dude followed her making rude comments about her chest. So I guess I didn’t see it as a joke.

Fair.
Admittedly we don’t know each other well. I thought we were having a good banter.

I’m normally pretty laid back it just didn’t hit right that’s all.
I thought the married joke was fair game since you said this
Hey now they are a married couple nothing smutty about it.
You can tell I was making a joke because I said “unless they’re poly then it’s okay.”

Hence there was nothing moral about it. I have poly friends in real life who joke like that. Didn’t expect your response, but I’ll admit I got reactionary from it because I hate being misunderstood.

Well, I do agree with my statements so they stay up.

In hoping this thread gets back on track let me just say:

I'm sad that I'm no longer the no. 1 choice to fight magic girls, but Anon's no. 1 is now so silver lining.

I apologize for misinterpreting your banter. I can imagine that was stressful and frustrating for you. Admittedly, I have and have had no friendships like that, so I took it as is.

I was going to say there is some obvious baiting going on. I don't think anon actually actually takes half the stuff seriously.

I wasn’t actually concerned about you. You don’t seem like the kind of guy who holds a grudge, but when someone starts making arguments that accuse someone of being misogynistic like

“Why can’t a married woman dress like that?” And taking it seriously I tend to get argumentative because it’s similar to an accusation.

however, I do fully believe everyone should dress modestly, while believing they should have every right to walk out naked if they want.

Except you did bring up the morality of an observer into this, but I think you didn't think it through when you said that.
Actually you brought that up.

Also, I wasn’t talking about physical harassment but verbal.

Physical harassment was what I felt you implied when you brought that up. Hence I’d call the police, but to me that doesn’t count as intervening because in most cases there are only seconds to act while the police are minutes away.
