Coffee in Mug: Rookie Numbers. Must pump up.
Coffee in two mugs: Low-low-mid.
Coffee in three mugs: Low-high-mid.
Coffee in three mugs, and half-pitcher: low mid-tier.
Coffee in Pitcher: Mid-Tier
Coffee in Two Pitchers: High...but not too high.

Hmm. Maybe he'll be less offended if I tell him that most of the chickens in my story (which is where the split second stasis magic thing came from) are actually bloodthirsty spectral beasts who disguise themselves as innocent chickens in order to sneak up on their unsuspecting prey? He's into that kind of thing, right? We can just say that the hat and glasses are part of the disguise.
He can still visit if he wants, though. All our rosebushes are blooming right now. He can collect some petals and make himself a new batch of potpourri. (Sorry, but I've never been able to take plague doctors seriously since I found out that's what the beaks were for....
)
