Title should be relatively self-explanatory but I just want to go into more detail of what I do and do not want. Read some stuff with a lot of angst when it comes to the relationship between the protagonist and love interest recently so when I say wholesome, that doesn't necessary have to apply to the entire novel but just the relationship between MC and love interest, to lay it out better and give some more detail here is a list of what I would rather have and rather not have:

1) As mentioned, I would preferably not have much angst within the relationship, of course drama is important and can be good for couple development but not to the extent that the entire relationship is just entirely drama nor would it make you doubt whether they will still be together in the end.
2) No extremely late romance, this is really up to you on what you define as 'late', however, compared to the first point this is significantly less important. In addition to this, as long as you think the story itself is amazing and worth the read, late romance is fine (however, not preferable) but if this is the case please let me know.
3) Doesn't necessarily have to be romance focused, the romance can be more of a side plot however, it does have to show up relatively often, the best thing would be a good mix between story and romance kind of like in 'Elania, Arachne in a different world' how there are chapters of adventuring/story progression then a few chapters of just wholesome slice of life.

Sorry for the long post and somewhat constricting demands in what I am looking but if you could help recommend stuff that would be great!

Read The Y-Files because the relationship between the mains are cute as heck. There's drama but it's not on the angst level. The story doesn't take itself too seriously too.

On that note: Anything from Yati. https://www.scribblehub.com/profile/60237/yati/

Ah, there's also

https://www.scribblehub.com/series/54866/mage-in-heroes-guild/

from Aliceshiki. This might be the sol style you're looking for.

And last on my recs is:

Have fun!

Very wholesome. Just a little angst in the beginning and then fluffiness.

Life with a tail was one of the most wholesome yuri I've read that fit your requirements but it is on hiatus
Please bully me, miss villainess is this - although I don't know when they officially begin dating but it is all but a certainty
I, the hopeless sister, love my sister - late romance but again, not a problem
I was Reincarnated as a Side Heroine in a Yuri Game, and with all my Power I will Protect my Favorite Character - same as above

as for not translated but english, I really have to try and remember some good ones
Binary soul (!!!!!!!!!) I'd call it a classic
Anachronism

That's pretty much it? at least as far as original english yuri that I liked and that fits your requirementa is concerned.
There was a very good story but it was deleted by the author

Might I interest you in some manga? It's called Touko-san can't take care of the house. (Ooops, wrong name. That has quite a lot of angst, I think) It's called Blooming Sequence. Apart from being manga, it should be everything you're asking for, and although it has moments of angst, overall it's amazing in my opinion.

As for stories as in novels, I think Heart of Dorkness will work; I didn't read the whole thing so I'm not entirely sure, but it's good.

Also, if you don't mind futanari and a lot of quirkiness (or at least you're willing to give them a go), you can try The Alchemist's Apprentice. It's much more wholesome than one would expect from a smut, and it's a lot more than just smut, with proper plot and all.

As a bonus, check this: My mom is a superstar. Absolute marvel.:blob_cookie:

Sorry for the self plug but I wrote two girls love fanfics of two anime/manga I hold dear. If you've seen Yama no Susume or Girls Last Tour I hope these are for you.

1. Our Friendversary
This is a fanfic for Yama no Susume which is a slice of life mountain climbing anime and has one of my most favorite ships ever Aoi x Hinata. If you've seen the anime my story happens after Season 4 Episode 10, but even without context its a wholesome story about two girls revisiting a mountain close to Tokyo which is notorious for romantic couples to visit at night time.

2. Girls Next Tour
This is a fan-sequel I wrote after the ending of the Girls Last Tour manga and also follows the relationship of Chito and Yuuri. I call it a fansequel because its 80000+ words long and 12 Chapters +Epilogue, so it's a bit long to read. This story is a major spoiler alert if you haven't finished the manga and you need a lot of context as it takes a lot of the story up to the ending. While it has wholesome moments, it also visits scenes of war, post-apocalypse, survival, death, trauma and PTSD. If you are worried if anything bad happens to the main characters
they are alive and happy at the end but several traumatic moments follow them at the beginning.

If you choose to read these two stories I hope you enjoy them :)

I think that you may like the story known as The Vampire's Templar. I haven't completely read the story to its completion, and I am currently rereading it (I read it before I opened an account on this site). But from what I can remember from the part I read before I dropped the story midway through reading it, I can safely say that the protagonist will have a wholesome relationship with the love interest. It also is a late romance type of novel, so you might have to wait a while to get to the romance between the protagonist and the love interest.

I absolutely loved Yama no Susume so i'm excited to read your fanfic. Haven't seen Girls Last Tour so I will read it when I have time and then read you sequal. Thank you for the spoiler btw, I would've been quite anxious while reading it (and probably not enjoy it as much) if I didn't know beforehand :)

Just wondering, is this a harem? There is no tag for it so I highly doubt it is but the manga the author mentioned it is influenced off was a harem (kind of) so just wanting to check.

Glad to hear, please feel free to leave feedback as these stories mean a lot to me :)

Also Yama no Susume Season 4 ended today too, and I did a rewrite just in time to include all the details from Season 4, so it feels more like a head-canon story about Aoi x Hinata's relationship. As for Girls Last Tour, the manga continues for a bit after the anime, however if you decide to read it, my story takes place right after the manga ending.

Also if you are asking if my stories are harem, not at all. I absolutely dislike like harem.

Started reading it and while it is somewhat different it is also quite similar to the manga it is based of (which I am mostly happy about because I enjoyed it) however, the manga, iirc was most likely going to become a harem had it not be cancelled so while there is no harem tag on the novel and as such doubt it will be, just wanting to check, it isn't a harem right and only drinks blood from Ria?

It's a throuple, so there is one more alongside Ria (not gonna spoil who). Hope that doesn't ruin the story for you, as I find the dynamic very cute and wholesome.

Might also fit, I think. Surprisingly, given that one of the characters involved is an eldritch abomination lacking all kinds of common sense.

I could also go through my List, but a lot of my top candidates have trans main characters and that tends to add relationship angst from that side (though usually resolved quickly), usually on top of the general stress caused by an unaccepting environment (on top of what GL stories may have already, if they go into these topics). I don't think many of the non trans GB stories go in depth with the romance and relationship stuff, so I doubt I'll find many of these.
Also, how explicit would you want the stories to be? I'd probably skip over the ones that are mostly smut, but some of my candidates have explicit scenes from time to time.

Smut is fine as long as it isn't the main focus and constantly happens. I'm not sure if this makes any sense, I can try to explain better if it doesn't but I don't want to read a smut novel but I am fine with a novel which has the occasional bit of explicit scenes.

Also, do you know of any other GL where protagonist is a vampire?
