Is writing 4000 words per day considered good? I usually can only write 4000-5000 words a day ( around a chapter or a chapter and a half) before becoming tired and feeling that I'll write shit if I keep going.

More than good. But sustaining that longterm... Be very cautious and aware of the strain on your body. I've found that typing that much daily quickly wears your body out unless you're very deliberate in breaks, rests, and proper posture.

For me, as long as I already got the story planned, I could go write 4k-6k once I'm on my 'writing mood', then sustain that pace for at least 3 weeks before I take a break for a month or two.

Out of curiosity, how long are your writing sessions? Every time I try to write that much per day I physically can't because my fingers start stiffening up.

...Though come to think of it, I type a lot for school work too, so that might be why. And I tend to write after I finish my school work...

...Maybe I should start doing that by hand. Might save my finger stamina.

Yo! I think thats actually quite good, to the point where your just showing off to us who can barely write 1k words. Even I had to make a schedule since I can barely sustain a daily chapter update so its not bad to slow down sometimes. You just need to do what you want to do and not tire yourself out.

Honestly, I would stay on the side of reason and say that at these numbers the actual number is irrelevant. The question becomes if you can maintain the level of quality or even increase it by lowering the word count down.

If you think that you are still at the maximum of your quality at such daily speeds then congratulations! you will go far. If you think you can improve it then I would suggest yo build up a decent buffer and then drop your word count to the speed of your chapter drops. So if you post a chapter a day - write just a chapter a day and spend the rest of the time either editing or planning the chapter beforehand.

I can write up to 2k per time I write. I am unable to go much further, like something's blocking. Your 4k word count is very amazing, though, you should lower it a bit down because some readers tend to get bored of very long onesones.

I might divide the chapters in two then. But chapters usually have some action/romance and sex scene in it. The action/romance part is usually 2k and the sex scene as well.
