I intend to run Eochaidh as a support (that liberally uses their great sword) to better fit his role as raid leader, so I'm going to give him a runic magic system based on the Ogham Aphabet.

Going to set a number of concrete spells with a concrete mana pool since solid constraints actually give them more narrative impact, like a limited supply of support you can call on to bail you out, in games, which is what I want to go for considering his role as a raid leader.

Summoning a windstorm with no indication of how much effort that took is a greatly different feeling than knowing that your raid leader squeezed out 20% of their mana setting that up. The more you understand something the more amazing it gets, I feel.
Funnily enough, I gave Yew Runic magic as well, though his is based more on item making, he is still a Great mage

-nodsnods- I was curious how you were planning to use Eochaidh, esp. since the power level generally skews very high (i.e. with Anya and Dew and Gargan shredding through monsters without taking a single scratch). It would be strange if the famous hero was weaker than a handful of kids, which is why the universe is a headache! :blob_no:

We have many different styles of roleplayers here!
I had assumed those plant monsters were supposed to be fairly weak in general, as well as for experienced combatants.

Hm I havent thought shit for Sven but I was sorta thinking of dota when thinking about his name so something similar? Guy swings greatsword with ease and can get god strength for a bit?

As for Roxia, well she can protect an ally with a decent-ish barrier and can bring out the potential of magic weapons + is decent with sword and shield bashes.

Rose is all about going from the sheer awe of dragkns with her brutal dragon taught ice magic to going down to base instincts with her regen.
My plan with Rose was from start that she is really really good at fighting. Yes, the fights might devolve into gore and limbs falling everywhere with new ones regen-ing in the worst case but she will be good at fighting.

Most fights wont even be able to get past her ice magic though.

I didn't even realize how to really utilized Gargan's ability..... I didn't mean him to be that strong. But if i have to go with an in universe explaination, those plants monsters is like a zombie horde.... A small group is easy picking, leading the scouting group to be misjudged the danger level before stumbling into a large grove that overwhelmed them???

Oh it’s not a problem at all! I was just curious about how Eochaidh would have dealt with them, basically, since I was under the impression that Way was working with a lower power level (relying on manual swordsmanship) then a lot of us

Well, Anya is more magic-focused than physical.
Her primary skill is with her sound magic since it's such an integral part of the Featherfolk's culture, followed by her wind magic, then her ice magic and sword skills are at the same level.

Her ice magic is used mostly as support than main, like with her sword and making a light layer of armour, etc...

There’s nothing wrong with higher power level characters, and AGSA’s design is so that each individual player can prioritize their own stories first.

It definitely makes collaborative events tricky to arrange, and they probably need to be planned very carefully. Since everyone’s stories have different power levels and tones, merging it all can be complex.

In the future, the raid organizer probably needs to be very clear about what the power limits and narrative limits are. Sometimes it might just be better not to invite certain characters (i.e. Ume or Gawrgaru), because it would instantly turn the power level lopsided — or at least get narrative guarantees that things wouldn’t turn OP.

Generally speaking, it might not be a good idea to mix weak characters and strong characters.

@ohko heya, planning to have Eochaidh show up at the getandmarks before the mission kicks off, since there are a lot of interesting topics t broach. Where they at? One of the airships?

On the who's coming on Kaede's airship question, do we have more decisions?

@Bochi do you have preferences on who comes? Would Fiora be okay if TEU brought her? :blob_happy: What about @fyrre and @Nahrenne?

Going through the pages, I can see Audriana is really weak. All she has is her Persuasion skill. So how about I do something about that, what if she's able to pick up skills by doing a certain thing long enough? For example, say she was going around cleaning things for a few hours and got a cleaning skill. Of course, I would limit how many skills she gets but I want to know if that's OP or not.

Audriana is the least OP, so I'm pretty sure you could do almost anything :blob_happy:

But it's only if you want! IMO, everyone's main stories come first!
