Changed a few words to 'clouds', because it makes more sense if Senzawa Island literally maintained buoyancy by being in the clouds since it's the best thing Sen'zawr, a sea god could do to keep the island afloat. It would also be interesting if the reason the island is falling apart is that it's a bit of a desperate hackjob done in the spur of a moment by again, a sea godEochaidh clears his throat.
"You see, Sen'zawr was once a sea god in ancient times, but she was ousted from her domain by another, particularly militant sea god, whose followers had no qualms in cutting her own followers down.
To save her followers she granted them her blessing, marking them as her children- their hair became silverly-blue overnight, and they were gifted with great endurance, allowing them to outrun even the most stubborn of patrols. Still, they couldn't run forever, but with the seas closed off to them and the lands full of enemies, where could they go?
Thus, Sen'zawr made a hard, but terrible decision. She had spent great amounts of her power to bless her children, but there was still one thing she could do. Tearing out her heart with a shark-tooth knife, she cast it into the land.
A terrible flood sprung out from the heart, which drowned and submerged the pursuers from the enemy god while acting as a moat for her children.
Then the heart melded into the land, and it shook with a tremendous rumble. Only then, did Sen'zawr's plan become apparent, and the enemy god seethed.
For the one domain that the enemy god could not reach was the skies. If Sen'zawr's ships were no longer welcome in the seas, then they would take to the clouds.
For 3 months, she raised the island into the sky with an unscalable column of waves, and for 3 months after she restarted her heart, ensuring that its power would maintain the buoyancy of the island in the clouds. Only when her mission was done, did she allow herself to collapse, her body utterly spent. From the dried cavity where her heart used to be, tides sprung, creating the Great Waterfall.
Aeons later, while Sen'zawr is dead, her children endure as powerful nobles of the archipelago. A festival in her name takes place annually, and trust me, while House Getanmark does not seek revenge, that does not mean that they don't remember. They remember very well."
From a big picture story perspective, it's not a 'problem'! (Or well, it's an intentional plot development@ohko
Oh yeah, I just had a thought. Because Griswold likes taking care of pets(cause he's a lonely fucker), if he met Ume he'd probably help them with their... "problem" lol
You think it would be possible to resurrect or at least summon Sen'zawrs divinity to speak to her?Changed a few words to 'clouds', because it makes more sense if Senzawa Island literally maintained buoyancy by being in the clouds since it's the best thing Sen'zawr, a sea god could do to keep the island afloat. you could add a quest to fix the islandChanged a few words to 'clouds', because it makes more sense if Senzawa Island literally maintained buoyancy by being in the clouds since it's the best thing Sen'zawr, a sea god could do to keep the island afloat. Ones that inevitably end up in heartbreak---From a big picture story perspective, it's not a 'problem'! (Or well, it's an intentional plot development) I like drama in general, so raising the stakes and having big swings from high to low makes the drama extra juicy! And things need to be juicy if Ume's finace shows up, and I also want love triangles, affairs, and other forms of complexity... and generally speaking just have a highly unstable story.
And also I like problematic relationships -whistles-
Well the most Griswold could do is act as a father or grandfather figure lmao. From a big picture story perspective, it's not a 'problem'!
