Why does native english speakers get brain damage when reading mtl? While someone who has English as a secondary language can tolerate it/doesn't notice?

Honestly I don’t see why many authors have the “need” to research things for their world.

It’s your own world and it’s alright if you are looking for some tricky word, or grammar tenses, but there really isn’t a need for it unless you are doing something non fiction like an essay
