"I'm not sure what Controps problem is" says Controps problem.
Definition of fantasy: a genre of imaginative fiction involving magic and adventure, especially in a setting other than the real world.

You are very clearly wrong. No ifs, ands, or buts. Fantasy in the non-genre sense applies to every fic, therein lies your confusion. But in the genre sense, it does not apply to every fic.

@TheMonotonePuppet In any case puppet, the purpose of that comment was to disagree with someone saying that fantasy is litrpg even without the RPG aspects. It was not to claim anything about what litrpg is.

Your previous answer. I was just hoping some experience readers or author give my book a visit and point out my fault.
If you want some feedback from me, you'll need to post it on my feedback thread.:s_wink::blob_cookie:

Oh.
Well I still disagree with this statement.
Exactly! Every novel is fantasy!

The definition of fantasy is actually the activity of imagining something improbable, making all fiction fantasy as it is all an improbable thought fuelled by author creativity.

You can't seperate the actual definition from the genre definition as the genre definition still fits under the actual definition. (Edit: Didn't like this line. Conveyed the point poorly, and it was;t actually relevant to what I was saying. Unfortunately, the puppet only responds to this line specifically as it's the weakest part. She still doesn't address that she's choosing to use a different definition and is calling me stupid for not using the definition she wants to use. Would post a full reply but I don't like resurrecting dead threads.)

Even if you did, I would not be the one who's confused. My reasoning is consistent. Rather it would be the one that admitted all fiction is fantasy yet still found a way to disagree.

I’ve literally played every single type of game you can think of they can be based on a true story but in the end that isn’t a reality it’s a fantasy of what is imagined.
You can relate it to the real world, but it’s reality is that it’s someone’s imagination there perspective there creation.

I know what puppet is trying to say. Fantasy as a label in marketing it is only magic and other stuff. I guess I’m just getting philosophical

No… there are separate definitions to words for separate circumstances. Not sure why you don’t understand that. Basic example: death and little death. One’s the ending of life and the other’s an orgasm. Basic example No. 2: cry: sobbing vs a bird’s or person’s loud vocalization. Basic example No. 3: supernatural. Both a genre, a description of how good someone is, and a description of a circumstance that has some founding in science but bends the rules.

It explicitly states that the genre aspect is solely relegated to the definition I pointed out. Before you stick your foot in your mouth on the basic rules of English, and honestly, most languages everywhere, think.

I would say it’s less philosophical and more various definitions are blending together despite the current context we find ourselves in, but I digress.
