Comedy, mostly light hearted stuff leaning more on slice of life and of course, Fantasy.

Yea me to my book does have some descriptive stuff in it because its a zombie book but i think its comedic

1. Harem done right with comedic moments.
2. If fantasy then inclusion of all races like elves, dwarves, dark elves, nethers, demons, angels, dark angels, half elf, orcs etc amd unique cultures for each race.
3.. fanfiction of Naruto,.One piece, Harry potter that introduces something new, while keeping original settings.
4. Unique systems that demand effort and training from MC to accomplish tasks and don't have a gifting or gacha system only slight improvement in talent.

I like fiction. Reality just sucks in general.

But for me it is as much what genres I avoid, than what genres I like. Whilst I have my preferences, I will try almost anything that does not include a genre I dislike to read. Then it is about how well the synopsis reads to me and if the story itself draws me in.

I think I tend to prefer fantasy to Sci-Fi in general, but I'm not that picky between the two.

I do not really have a favourite genre. I just... read a lot, I guess... and I love characters who either do not have a romance at all or are LGBTQ. :-)

Fantasy, though less so when mixed with isekai or worse, litRPG. Urban fantasy is right out.
Beside that, sci-fi, especially space opera, historical fiction, crime and mystery/paranormal/horror.
And at least when it comes to movies, I also have a soft spot for spaghetti westerns.
