Without hesitation I'd give a fistbump to The System.
It doesn't have a lot of screen time but the quips, roasts and outright laziness continues to wow me.
It purposely limits itself by doing nothing yet complains of eternal boredom, the irony is solid.
But it's that eccentric nature that makes me love it.
So, who's your favorite character in your novel?

Either Sela, Silva, or Scott in my main story. All good characters in my opinion. Very fun to write.

A villain named Nachik. Nachik is a murderer, thief, and all-around asshole, but I like him.

Novem. A somewhat clumsy (in generally easy things) but loyal assassin. Honestly, she's won my affection, and I'm afraid to give her priority in scenes every time I write her.

I too am a fan of antagonists, if I had to choose one from my story, it'd be the soucouyant.
'Just because I let you live doesn't mean I'm nice!'

Basically me with Universum Inspiratum.

Morris from Anti-cake Dungeon Delving. I had a couple of friends who looked pass my weight the same way that he does for Leander, the MC. I know that such people are rare and true gems. Plus, he was fun to write and extroverted.

Tsukiko from Red Snow, she is not the MC but she is fun to write and a total menace.

That gave me an idea for a new character, I'll just say the concept is mind boggling.

I've always felt that the best way to avoid writing a tired sad-sack "blah-"tagonist is to make sure they at least conceptually sound like someone you'd like to know or at least know of...Though that can be a bit tricky if you like writing villain/anti-villain/morally dubious MCs. So I generally like most of my MCs.

My favorite character in my writing though thus far, would be Josephine from ODHM. She's a happy-go-lucky, blood-thirsty, ball of sunshine, and I tend to have a fondness for those kinds of characters...Ergo, my decision to eventually try and write one of my own.

Happy go-lucky, didn't know that was a thing, but it doesn't sound like a compliment.

It depends. Sometimes those kinds of characters/people can come across as a bit airheaded, or spacey, but other times it's nice to have someone who can appreciate the beauty of a gray sky, the pleasantness of the breakfast muffins, and the fact that the one office printer seems to be on its best behavior for the day, when the rest of us would be focusing on how sh*t the weather is and how much work will need to be done by the end of the day.

That would be Rudo. I tried to make him a far cry from the typical male lead. Simple and animalistic.

I think I get it.

The Villain/Rival Character I'm setting up to become the MC's friend.
I don't know why, I just loved him from the moment I created him.

Also, it's more fun writing this dynamic than I thought it would be.

If I had to pick, I'd say Sorrel in the Marwaithyr - he was created specifically to be a love interest and nothing more because the one I had wasn't working, and now he's more MC than the MC and about to burn a hole in the world.
