1) Clean your mouth
(Recommended to brush teeth 3x/day)
2) Destroy bacteria in mouth / throat (kinda)
3) Regulate acid reflux in stomach
4) Block hunger or cravings
5) Hydrate (big known thing but never done by everyone)
5.1) Skin
5.2) Eyes
5.3) Reduce salt content
5.4) Expulse stuff from body by "number 1"
5.5) Stop formation of Bladder stones
6) Hot temp help burn the fat/grease of food (stomach + pancreas(?) organ)
7) Very very important : Hot temp help your intestine digest better as it basically need HEAT to function (if you are cold = lower efficiency)
8) Sometimes your body is lower temp than it should be, even if you think it is a normal one
9) "Eating" phenomenon makes brain secrete dopamine (despite just simple water/pavlov dog phenomenon)

Hotter than medium/mild hot,
lower than burning tongue/scalding.


Probably "very hot toast/CroqueMonsieur" lvl of temperature, that seems straight of the oven.
Basically hot that you feel you cant drink all at once and take small sips. Slightly hurtful but not really. Hm....basically a liiiiiittle scalding i guess.


Edit : But yeah. Basically "hot tea" temperature.
Its a pain in the a.... to do though. So not really recommended. So better to stick to simply "hot water"
+ In old movies you see this stereotype centenarian asian old man drinking tea. This damn old men cheating in plain sight. Damn cheaters.
+ An asian comment (a wild rare pokemon in reddit) i once seen said : Its annoying to drink hot water, especially in summer but you become accustomed to it

Sometimes when i was bored while walking, i gave some reasoning to "why is hot water useful ?" since i discovered asians live longer thx to it,
and somehow this huge list was randomly found in the timespan of multiple different days.

"Hm. Doesnt drinking basically help wash the mouth?" +1
"Hm..... Isnt the high temperature basically helping kill bacterias in throat? Also its often drank when someone's throat fall sick" +1

Since you are asking that question, I am assuming you are not eating right now.
Are you planning on never eating again? Then you should choose "never".
Will you eat soon? Soon means what you wish for it to mean. Which amount of time feels short to you? You are a free human being and make your own definitions.
Otherwise, choose "eventually".

If you need help with determining what constitutes a short amount of time, you could look at your lifespan, cultural norms, and nutritional requirements.
Let us imagine you are an ancient dragon with a nutritional requirement of 250 000 calories per month. Your lifespan is nearly limitless, but it is customary for dragons to eat at least once or twice a month.
Hence, I would say any time span less than fifteen days may be considered soon in that context.
Personally, I would consider eating within 3h to be soon.
