Not sure if that is a good idea because having a comic tag means it implies SH is providing image hosting, which is not the case. It's true that you can insert inline images in your chapters but a new visitor (who might be an actual comic artist) might assume the site provide such service.

I don't think Tony has any intention of providing image hosting for the site, because that alone eats up a lot of bandwidth, this means it is very costly to implement and maintain.

Most likely a LightNovel tag to imply the work might have images in it is more relevant to be implemented, however, I don't see any particular reason why additional tag like this should be implemented until there are enough materials on the site to deem the tag necessary.

Hm I like this idea, although the tag should be called something else. Let me go and pitch the idea over on nuf and discord
I think from a long time ago, GraphicNovel is what is used to describe LightNovel, however, nowadays, GraphicNovel has no actual distinction between them and manga, (except for some coloured page still retained in some publication.)

If that is considered a good idea, maybe consider it to be a category instead of a tag, which divided into a few big categories:
  1. Novel
  2. Graphic Novel or Light Novel (or whatever term that is more suitable)
  3. Short Story
Just a suggestion :D

Hm I never knew that. I have posted this on nuf. https://forum.novelupdates.com/posts/4759352/
As for short stories I think we have tags for that, I have to check. There certainly is an oneshot tag.

Just saying...:blob_popcorn:
Why not just go to tapas.io? The crowd there just loves webcomics. If you do it long enough, you can even make money from it.

Personally, while you can post comics on here, I'd rather have a specific site be specific instead of trying to branch out into too many things. You know, like Anthem, they wanted to be too many things at once that they became nothing. Heck, they wanted to become so many things that they succeeded in being 'The Game That Bricks PS4 and Xbox One'.

Of course, Ai-chan doesn't own scribblehub, so only @Tony can say for sure if this will happen or not.

Graphic Novels are different from Light Novels. Graphic novels are no different from normal comics, except there's a lot of texts. Light novels are novels, except with some illustration. Graphic novels have illustration in almost all pages, light novels have maybe one illustration per chapter, maybe 2, but certainly not in every page.

Any comic with a lot of paragraphs beside the illustrations in every page is graphic novel. Any comic without these paragraphs are simply comics. Any comic published on the web as its primary medium are all webcomics.
