So the latest post was journey to Eden prime. If I spawn as a alien. I think I'm good. Aside from a few treats you could expect to live your life without issues. But it really depends on the planet you are. If you are in one of the 20 planets of the story then oof. Im not surviving that. But im a human. So I'm pretty much a galactic target. I will be hunted down. Yep dead in the first 20 mins.

How are your chances of survival? Personally I am going to turn into an eldritch spawn free of the burden of thought, life's pretty good.
Heeey! Eldritch creatures for life, amIright? I'll probably be eaten by eldritch creatures spawned by my emotions. There are like a couple thousand ways to die each day, so...
I'm screwed!
I'm too young to unlock my System too, so it's not like I could unlock anything and I am certainly not Magical Guardian material.
I think if I am REALLY lucky, I could be an Eldritch Vessel, rather than just fodder to be eaten.
Isn't the internet the worst and best thing of all time?

Most of us would be cannon fodder tbf
I saw a funny picture in "expectations vs reality" style somewere in comments here or on RR. Can't find it though. So, I try to describe it briefly. In "expectations" section there were different heroes in different scenarios (a paladin, a mage, a prince, etc. etc., ending with some astronaut in spacesuit in futuristic sci-fi scenario), and in "reality" section same guy was digging ground (as a peasant). The most funny was that in sci-fi scenario he still digged ground, but in gas mask.

I would be in an ordinary world, with medieval technology and no magic so I should be mostly safe. However, staying as far as possible from the shores would be a great idea. ?

If we aren't even billionaires or some kind of influential writer, how would we be the protagonist with thousands of wives and/or husbands?

So modern earth, but with magic, dungeons and monster taming.

Would be pretty dope.

I would be fucked socially as I would not have the documentation to get back to the US or any first world country easily and would be in the wrong part of the world at a very bad time. But probably would survive the process, though I might also kill off huge percentage of the world due to residual Covid virus in me. I am not an expert epidemiologist to say for sure.
Speaking of documentation. It is amazing how much you increasingly need it over the eras to get anything worth a damn done.

My name is Readlight, I'm currently in my pajamas when I suddenly got transported to this world where there are monsters, gods, and phaqing god-gods.

The god-gods has told every gods to engage in a worldwide war against every other gods, and this war has been going on for centuries. Meteorites just got dropped; a mountain just collapsed, and two giant f#$k-you water-hydras just emerged out from the sea.

I'm told that I have to survive one year in this place, and this SsemouyOnan person has the audacity to ask me "How are your chances of survival?"

Well I'll let you know right after I finish writing this rep-

Does it matter which city? Because of the most part I'm fine, except when a rage filled villain ensnares the city to feed on emotion, or hearing a strange melody to put under a coma. Heck as long as I stay on Earth and not travel to a different planet I am good.

Thank you to all that responded.

Looks like I doomed most of this thread, joy. The scenario was inspired by a Reddit post about the last game you played instead.

I'm surprised at the lack of authors who created a world where the mere act of living is suffering... Or did they go mad before being able to respond to the post?

Surprisingly fine. Sure, demons are going to start pouring in at any moment after the year is over but, everyone and their mother can learn magic. It's just the social hierarchy that is the problem. I won't become an adventurer since they are basically professional bums in the world. I got no chance of becoming a nobel after a few centuries ago. Bloodlines matter for them after concentrating all the cool stuff into their inbred monarchies. As long as I don't anger some dead beat criminals that are too high level to simply murderhobo, I'll be fine.

I'll probably go enchanting and abuse the perks of creating everything original from Earth into my own, "original donut steal", ideas. The MC can keep to his own corner. He can keep his blood steel bloodline and handle saving the world. I'll be stealing all of Disney.

I mean, in all likelihood, if I went there, the mere act of my short existence would indeed suffering. If I had to bet, I would quite promptly be slowed carved like a chicken by living teeth soaring through the air like enchanted knives. Said teeth would slowly but surely warp my flesh, gnashing blood and bone into one beautifully artistic motif growing and sparkling throughout the air. I’d be conscious and feeling the entire time, and then I would be torn into once more to create a new form. This would repeat until they made something that actually had function to go with that form. The Magical Guardians would probably eliminate my source of torture before the beings found the “right” iteration.

Ha! I recalled, where I've seen that picture, and found it. It was at some Russian forum and picture was in Russian. So, I made a quick translation. I didn't ask permission from artist (I think, it can take ages), but his picture is in free access, so I don't think he will mind (his copyright is intact and visible, after all). Sorry, since I saw it quite a while ago, I twisted some details. Last frame is post-apocalypse, not space opera.
