Name one area where you already feel confident as a writer and one area you'd like to improve on. That way, we could help each other out and share tips on how to improve. From what I've been told, I excel at characterization, but I've never really gotten the hang of scene setting. I don't really know how to describe places vividly, and I impress myself whenever I somehow manage to do that. What about you?

Being an author and Dungeon Master, I can safely say that I am good at creating an exciting story. My readers think the same, the action never stop! I don't really have any problem with plotholes, as I have mastered the art of "random bullshit go!" during my time as a DM.

And my greatest weakness is... I'm not good at fight scenes, mostly because of how I can't really plan what will happen. I just have the character sheets... so as a workaround, I play dnd. Just set up a fight, and let the dice take the reign.

The good: Dialogue between characters.
The less good: Battle scenes.
At least when its action time I need twice the time to get it into a position I feel confident publishing.

In my strengths: Long-term planning of my novel, research, fights, good characters, Lore and variety of themes.

My weakness: Grammar

Which translates to I am an excellent swimmer but I am allergic to H2O in general.

Good:
1. Details. I can create a system so complex that you'd think it's an academic paper instead of a fantasy novel.
2. Plots. My plotlines and Lore are so convoluted and layered that you'd think I'm blessed by Tzeentch
3. Battle Scenes & Combat Styles. I have refined a comprehensive database for my use in battlescenes so that I can write battle scenes for ten years without replicating a spell/martial arts/ killer moves.
Bad:
1. Details. My love for details often made me have slow plot progression.
2. Plots. The plot is so convoluted that a foreshadow in the first volume might be used in the beginning of the third volume.
3. Limited vocabulary. More often than not, Character A who is known for his love for murder and slaughter speak nearly the same compared to Character B, who shitposts, speak in memes, and is horny all the time.

Busy so I'll keep this simple. I think I could come up with my story impactful points (Like characterization, action, etc). Maybe I'll post here again when I'm not busy.

Good.
Coming up with ideas, honestly have too many, which can make it hard to chose.

Bad.
Writing speed. I've always felt my writing speed is to slow, and even after practicing to improve it still feels too slow.

Improved.
Writing quality and grammar, while it is still not the best. It is WAY better than how I started. Even editing, my editing process was awful and I hated it now, now, yeah it can be annoying, but I'm finally decent at it.

Combat scenes are the easiest for me, and I've thankfully gotten a lot better at dialogue since my very first novel, but I definitely have a lot more room for improvement, particularly in sequences where the villains speak to the protagonists or even during monologues. My worst area is by far concluding chapters though. I never know how to really end chapters and although I could just keep spamming cliffhangers, I don't feel like that's satisfying.

I'd say my strength is character writing and long form story telling. Getting into a character's head space and building there arcs along.

Weakness I'd say are grammar, spelling, having to define the appeal of my story in a short blurb. Being too in-depth with planning and character descriptions can bring more to the table.
