Yes. I struggled with this for a while and found that once you know the plot points you can figure out how your characters are gonna get there. Set up the things they need to do like smaller sub-plot points. Sprinkle a fair bit of lore and character development in between through dialogue, actions, and long descriptions to act as filler. This allows you to show, rather than tell but also make it so that you tell enough for the characters to build relationships. This makes the major plot points have bigger payoffs. If you are struggling with this then try to figure out what kind of scenes that you want to have. Once you do then you can read scenes from other stories that are similar to what you want. Structure it similarly and see if it works. This is just my opinion though.
