Well, protagonists have thick plot armour so even a bazooka should be fine. It’s not like friendly sparring compares to the amount of malicious nonsensical powers bad guys can have. Like straight up turning other characters evil, poisoning, stealing, and causing permanent dmg.

Agreed, which is why I won’t do that. How would people gain resistances by shooting themselves anyway? ;p
