hi there every one who is watching my thread i am a new author and this is my first ever work if possible could you check it out and say if its good or bad and give me some pointer to how i can make it good

The person who commented on your first chapter and offered to make a cover for you...

Please apply a reasonable amount of caution. They may be genuine, they may be a scammer, who knows...

Ohmygosh, I offered this to someone who'd sent me a super nice DM. Then I realised I sounded like a scammer... :blob_shock:

@friesXD having a cover will help with making your work more appealing and visible to readers, but @Racosharko is right, be wary. I've had a lot of people offering unsolicited help with my story/art/character concepts etc. :blob_unsure:. I haven't read your work, but I'll say straight up - make sure you edit it so there are as few mistakes as possible. It's really distracting to read something that is full of typos/grammar errors, even if the writing/story are great.

I didn't realise SH had a 'free cover'. I saw this cover popping up constantly and thought it was one author who was an absolute MONSTER at writing and was just dropping chapters like dubstep. ?

There are (limited) free resources available to make your own cover art, just please respect copyright and ensure images are creative commons i.e. freely available for commercial use. Just 'cause it's on Pintrest doesn't make it copyright free.

yeah you are write i learned that she would make me my cover page if i paid her a certain amount of money but since i didnt have the money so i regected her and took some ideas and insperation and with some ai help i created my own

I agree with Eldoria. Maybe you write a little longer synopsis that teases a few important plot points to entice more readers :-) Like a dust cover blurb.

thanks for letting me now i have updated it a little if there is any problem then please tell me i am open ears for making my novel better
