Writers, why do you delete your books?

From what I've noticed and learned is that,
  • Some authors aren't happy with their own writing so they'll take it down until they can rewrite it.
  • Some authors just give up on writing so they delete any evidence of their work
  • Some authors publish their works so they delete it to avoid legal issues.
  • Some authors keep getting harassed.
  • Some authors just hate the fanbase that they've created.
  • And/or some authors don't like the site they're on so they move and delete the work they had on the site.

Here's my reason below as of follows:

1. I don't get a lot of support from readers. So we migrate our work to other sites.
2. I lost my passion.
3. I am just being lazy.
4. No likes, no comments, no exposure, so why should I continue it?
5. I receive a harsh message because some paragraphs seems hit the nail of their beliefs. For example, they criticized my Mc for being sexist, but it is part of his character growth.
6. Writer's block. ?

Your picture is so cool that it inspired me to make this. Yes, the arm is weird (this is only the first attempt).

I forgot to add that some authors will remove the stories they have on hiatus until people forget about it(2-3 years), finish it, and then repost it everywhere so that they can ride the success of a now completed and consistently posted story.

I'm honestly tempted every so often to tear it all down and just call it quits. I have many reasons, but the biggest is just my natural lack of faith in myself and my writing ability. I feel like my novel is pretty terrible. Like, horrible, and how people like it so much I cannot grasp. And it's gotten to me a few times.

I think everything has already been mentioned.

I had those thoughts once too, as an aspiring writer I was always most looking forward to comments, reader reactions, reviews, but there was a period when I would see readers coming in but no one writing anything, incognito throwing out ratings whether good or bad but not knowing why or how or what and when someone did write something it was mostly just suggestions for correcting mistakes. ... not that it's not useful, but when you don't read anything but suggestions for corrections for a couple of days, I just fall into a depression. And I might have even given up at that point if I hadn't gotten pneumonia and hadn't had such enforced bed rest and gotten some distance to sort things out.

I think a lot of writers end up like that. (And I don't mean the pneumonia. XD But that they get depressed and quit.)
